I am actually legitamately excited to see how things turn out with this. It almost looks like a kickstarter project, but Free! has definitely made a lasting impression on the anime world, and it seems to have opened doors to an interesting future.

I can't bloody well remember what it was called, but I remember that. Just like how people said that Puella Magi was a breath of fresh air in the mahou shoujo drama because "it's the first with a depressing story where main characters die", even though it was proceeded by others like Princess Tutu, and even Sailor Moon.
It often takes take #2 before people really notice something.
