Any idea why my computer won't run mabi right?

  So I downloaded the client and tried to run it. My character was completely black and then whenever I opened anything the whole screen went black.
  
  Here are my specs:
  
  Windows 8.1
  128GB and 256GB/Intel i5 version:
  4th generation Intel Core i5-4300U 1.90 GHz (with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.9GHz) with Intel HD Graphics 4400
  
  I mean it's not like mabi is some hardcore 3d rendered game. Why can't I run it? I can't even get into the settings on mabi cause the screen is black when I open that up. I can't see what I was clicking on.

  I have no idea as to why its not running tho my friend had a problem with mabi and windows 8.1 mabye that's related somehow.
  Maybe try posting in Ferghus' Repair Shop for some help?

  Mabi is just THAT poorly optimized. It gets worse as they add more to it.
