How it works
Quick-cast Hybridising works by focusing on skillset specific skills that have no load time, allowing one to switch to their secondary weapon slot for an almost instantaneous cast without disrupting the flow of battle. This is made much more viable by turning on the 'Auto weapon slot conversion' option (shown below). When this option is turned on, one only has to hotkey and tap the skill to use, which will be referred to as 'quick-cast' in this guide.
How to turn on Auto weapon slot conversion

Consider the case in which you have a bow in your primary and a shuriken in your secondary slot. You've just missed your arrow and big ol' Papa bear is charging towards you. Naturally, you would resort to play dead (cue AoE pet spam). However, with this option turned on, simply pressing Shadow Cloak will instantly switch weapon slot and cast Shadow Cloak, saving your face from being mauled in.
Setting up QCH
Equip your primary weapon e.g. bow, and equip the weapon in brackets for each respective skillset. Hotkey skills from both skillsets and press the quick-cast skills listed below when you need to use it.
Zero/near zero cast time skills (roughly in order of priority)
Ninja (Shuriken)
[Image: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/images/f/f1/Shadow_Cloak.png]
Shadow Cloak
All-purpose defensive skill. Removes aggro and allows room for repositioning. Great for any skillset.

Shuriken Charge
Quick and easy damage, especially for newbies. It's ability to ignore protection when calculating critical chance means even a cheap Starblade Shuriken has huge potential. Requires a split second of charging for those with latency issues.
Fighter (Knuckles)
[Image: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/images/c/c1/Counterattack.png]
[Image: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/images/b/bd/Counter_Punch.png]
When knuckles are equipped, normal Counterattack has 0 load time.
WARNING: Auto weapon slot conversion will NOT switch slots for NORMAL counterattack, Counter Punch works as usual.
If they can't hit you, you're bound to win someday.

Charging Strike
Guaranteed strike and gap closer. Ignores protection when calculating critical chance.

Focused Fist
Similar to Charging strike, but a bit harder to land when used as a quick-cast skill due to its low range when not charged.

Tumble
I personally don't use this, but just added for completion's sake.
Alchemy (Cylinder/ Guard cylinder)
[Image: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/images/2/23/Sand_Burst.png]
Sand Burst
Aggro remover, low cooldown, essentially a 10 second disable. Perfect for multi-aggro situations.
[Image: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/images/1/15/Wind_Blast.png]
Wind Blast
GTFO button. Minimal damage, but when used at close range blasts the enemy a considerable distance away.
Magic (Wand/ Staff)
[Image: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/images/6/65/Shockwave.png]
Shockwave
Getting wall-humped? Able to be cast while stunned and knocks down nearby enemies. Cooldown can be reset even when not equipped with a wand/staff
Recommended Combinations
Knight-Fighter
Lances provide superb initiating damage with Lance Charge into Smash, however after the monster has aggroed you there are few openings for a smash and one has to rely on Windmill and Lance Counter to prevent being hit.
Fighter has the skills necessary to stun and open up the enemy's weakness, allowing room for more devastating Lance Smashes.

Ninja-Fighter
Ninja, being more a utility skillset, has long cooldowns and a weak normal attack. Ninja specializes in keeping multi-aggro to a minimum and making quick pickoffs. Fighter benefits greatly, as Kunai Storm is a welcome AoE skill, Shuriken charge incorporates itself easily into Fighter's 1v1 playstyle and Shadow Cloak lets you slip out of nasty multi-aggro situations (ignore my pitiful damage with fighter, I haven't skilled it yet).

Note: I play from Australia, so I have my own fair share of lag, but I can pull these combos off (after a couple tries).
