Thoughts on new PC I purchased?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. It has an AMD processor. You've crippled yourself right out of the gate.

Although AMD is close to having a processor that can compete head on with the Intel Haswell, they aren't quite there yet.

Also I would have gone with 16GB or even 32GB of ram. You basically can't have too much of it unless you install more than your chipset is capable of recognizing.
