Ugh this got covered my by local news station when this got reported it said nothing about anything teachers.
He said he did it because his friends did it and he admitted that his teacher was looking away.
He's only doing it for the money....

Since he's defending the teacher, it's reasonable to deduce that his parents are driving the lawsuit and he's not on board with it. That's likely why they're claiming brain damage.
