I have no idea, I find that if i'm on my laptop on WiFi then it will just randomly disconnect me.
I guess if you're using a WiFi connection then you could possible try using a Ethernet cable.

useing a cable atm but im on a laptop
steam doesnt like laptops ??

It could be. I'm currently using a laptop and I have no problem's. Have you recently applied any changes to your network and/or steam? I find when I switch a setting on my router or through a proxy my network will disconnect me at times to continue to update the link. You could try re-installing steam or maybe seeing if any other application's are having this issue.

Steam has been getting shot at by the lizard squad kids.
Though unlike other targets, they've held it much better. Just some weirdness as the servers react to the load surges, they haven't actually crashed.

Steam hasn't been any different than it has in the past.
Steam has always suffered from random disconnects, it's nothing new to to DRM service.
