Hello everyone, I'm MrBluu and i'm a new member here.
I was hopping to be able to post here and ask some question's about Mabinogi and also get some general feed back for the game.
I would like to know whether anyone on here would like to help me out or maybe just play together as friends, I have a steam and if you want too add me feel free, SteamID - Mr Bluu i'm the one with the anime girl as my picture. Second, for a new player what would be the best or most recommended server/realm/world someone in my position should choose and is there any tips, tricks, or helpful information you can give me.
I do love making new friends and I will never turn anyone away from a friendship, whether on steam or skype, I am always open to new friends so don't be shy!!

Welcome :ran_luffy:
Can't really suggest a server, everyone tends to suggest the one they play on.

Welcome to the forums and to Mabinogi!
Server-wise, I can't really give you any tips because each server is pretty different and i'm pretty biased about the one I play on in comparison to the other servers.
I would obviously say and choose Alexina because of the giant population, though. But is that a good enough reason to choose it? I dunno, that's up to you. Other servers have their perks as well!
As for tips? Use the Wiki if you already don't do so. It will save you a lot of trouble and can answer most of your questions. This is also a very useful thread for a few tips as well, despite some being outdated. Still helpful nevertheless, though!

The only server I haven't played on is Mari.
In my experience, Alexina feel really laggy compared to the other two servers, probably due to overpopulation. Server statistic wise, Mari, Tarlach, and Ruairi have about the same amount of players created, but I don't think people in Tarlach are as active as in Ruairi or Alexina.
If you have friends you want to play with, just go to their server or decide a server together. Only difference would really be lag, market differences aren't too huge in NA.

Well, me and my friend did choose but even so lag isn't a issue with me, running a Radeon r9 285 with a intel core i7 5960x and 8gb of RAM lag is not an issue. Of course there is that pesky old network lag but again a 45mb/s down and a 15mb/s up takes care of most of that network lag.
Press, I think R is the default key, to open the community window. From there, there should be a button on the top left to add a friend. That person's name will then show up in your friends list under a red icon and it will say Inviting. If it doesn't say Inviting and the icon is red, they're just offline. If it's green, then that friend is online. Double clicking that person will open a PM window with that friend.
If a friend is inviting you, a prompt will show up at the bottom right of your screen. If a friend messages you and your PM window isn't opened, a smaller box will appear at the bottom right of your screen and won't go away until you open it or log off/change channel.
To have a chat with multiple friends, open up a PM window with one of the friends you want to talk to, then double click the area where his name is at the top of the window to select other friends to invite.
None of your chat logs, PM window or not, are saved when you change channels. So sometimes you might want to let people know you're CCing so they know that if they message you now, there is a good chance you won't see it until you finish CCing.
When a friend logs in or changes channels, a small box will appear at the bottom right of your screen like if someone is PMing you. Unlike PMs it will go away on your own. If you really find this annoying then just change the options in the community window.
Guilds should work completely the same way. I personally like to add my guildmates as friends, who knows, the guild might disband and then they won't be on your friends list unless they were on both friends and guild list.
I no longer play actively on Alexina so I can't help you ingame. =\ (You can ask me questions almost 24/7 if you want to add me on skype though.)
