I've been using old school notebooks as sketchbooks, because my highschool started disliking the usage of them. Billion times cheaper, but I do have a proper sketchbook for good things.
Oh dear. At least you still get to draw on the good stuff, too.

I just did, all that did was leave a feeling of disappointment. Why the sudden change to paint bucket and flat colours? I didn't know you worked for microsoft.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be hostile.
But even so, your art from 2 years ago was better; even the ones that are done in your current style.
WHERE IS THE LOVE?
[S]Also you got lazy with the title of the thread.[/S]
Aside from the first one, which was meant to be reference that I got carried away with, I'd qualify the rest of them as sketches. Yeah, I cleaned some of them up a bit, but they're designs for a project of mine. I want to have designs ahead of time so that I don't spend precious composition/painting time trying to figure out what the outfit looks like. A flat-color sketch like that is helpful if I'm going to be using the same outfit multiple times.
In any case, I'm going back to line-art-less art this year, since I do like the blending of that more, but I don't have just one style, nor did I abandon painting. I'm not obligated to paint every single time I draw something, nor do I have to hold back on posting something just because I didn't paint it. I have ideas too frequently to paint every single one, and I don't want to
not draw something just because I don't have time to paint it.
I have a full-time job that I didn't have before. If I need to get ideas out, I sure as hell better make sure I do it fast, or it will fly out the window.
I get that you're not trying to be hostile, but then I'd recommend leaving the bold part out, or phrasing it a bit differently. I don't mind answering the "why the flat colors?" bit, since that's a legitimate question if you don't know enough about how I work, but what was necessary about the rest?
I love my art plenty, and I'm very happy with some of the custom designs. If I posted only paintings, I'd be posting once a month, maybe. Possibly not even once, maybe twice at best. If I want to share my process stuff, I'm gonna.
EDIT BECAUSE I JUST SAW THIS:

The flat colour thing is used in concept art for video game production, so it doesn't hurt to be familiarized with it for the purposes of building a portfolio and such (assuming the lady here still wants to pursue such a career path, I don't even remember..)
I'm going to focus on personal illustrations for now, and some merchandise down the line. For now, my full-time job's pretty nice, and I still get to draw, just not as much. Whether I pursue a career or not, I'm going to keep drawing. It's rather nice to be able to draw without someone looming over me, after all.
EDIT 2:
I don't mind if you don't like my more recent style, if that's what you see it as. The problem is that I feel like I'm getting jabbed at for being lazy, even though I actually draw more frequently, and am putting effort into my work, even the things I need to get out quick.
