That's because google saves all the bookmarks of google chrome to your google account so you can access them from any device. It's not such a scary thing in a cross device world where people have multiple devices from their smartphones, to their desktop computers, to their laptops, etc.

Chrome is watching...listening...reading...remembering...[s]it's almost like Google's slowly assimilating the internet[/s].
You should be glad though. Saves you some time and work. :P

It's more interesting when Chrome unexpectedly restores your personal history/bookmarks to the browser on your company's computer...
Luckily, I didn't have anything questionable there. >>;

Did you accidently log into your personal email on one of google's services by chance?

Not accidentally. I just check my Gmail from work sometimes.

ya I do that sometimes as well. Understandable, I think I've had this happen to me once. I just hide my bookmark toolbar now just to be on the safe side.

Thanks to google, I don't have pesky things like privacy getting in my way.
Pro-tips:
-install chrome on your girlfriend's computer (You're now a G-stalker!)
-never use it for <AIR QUOTES OF INTENSITY >fun</AIR QUOTES OF INTENSITY >

And this is why I never have any questionable links bookmarked. (I just memorize them.)
