Saving mats for 2x life skill events, Skill training (Brionac)
[SPOILER="Brionac Skill training Info"]When using Shock/Awakening of Light, you can sacrifice some of Brionac's Durability to automatically train a skill once every 12 hours real time.
This is performed by clicking the dark spear skill icon on the Brionac interface then selecting which skill and requirement you wish to train.
The skill cannot be Rank 1, 1 Dan, 2 Dan, or 3 Dan.
You will be prompted to choose a skill to train.
Skills which are eligible will be flashing.
Upon choosing a skill, you must choose a Training Method for that skill.
The Proficiency bar will show the amount of Experience increase when training the selected Training Method.
A message will come up asking if you are sure and informing you of the amount of Durability Brionac will lose.
You will receive 10% of the total counts of training for the Training Method you choose, or a number equivalent to 10 Skill Proficiency Points, whichever is lower.
You must have already trained at least 30% of the particular Training Method yourself.
Skill requirements that must be fulfilled less than 10 times total may not be trained.
Transformation Skills and Book/Quest-based Skill requirements cannot be trained.
Most skills reduce 0.25 durability when trained in this manner.

You can also hoard Adventurer's seals, hold them off until the day when Skill Training Seals (15 points) are sold. These will give free 15 points to a skill, for any rank. Note that you can't use these seals to master a skill. Also, these seals cost 70 Adventurer's seals each.
If you aren't lazy enough, you can get around 90 seals per day, assuming you have a human and two assistant characters. If you have more, you can also make more seals. Could be kind of a grind, but shouldn't be bad.
Total Adventurer's seals needed to get a skill from rF to r1 just by using skill training seals is 70*7*14=6860. So clearly, it's not really worth it to use these seals at low ranks, but in the higher ranks, you'll see these seals as extremely useful.
Although, to be honest, Handicraft isn't bad of a skill to rank at all, you shouldn't need these seals.

Handicraft is pretty disgusting unless you have a reforged kit. Even then, it's sort of gross because of fucking wood boards. Definitely take advantage of Brionac and adventurer's seals on the higher ranks.

On the note of Adventurer Seals, if you have 5 characters you can easily reach 70+ per week with just the go-here-click-this quests. Handy for people with mules they never bothered leveling haha. Also, these don't consume any training counts, so don't forget to do the easy crap to reduce the number of seals you need.

I guess that depends on personal preference.
I felt fine ranking it up with a exp level 2 kit, and I didn't really think wood boards were much of a problem.
