Yeah, in a laptop, I would buy one with at least 2GHz in it. ><

Find the essential drivers and reformat it with a clean windows, no OEM nonsense.
Though I recommend a refund.

Won't he need to find a reasonable fault with that computer before he demands a refund? o.o
IDK how refund policies works with newegg though.
I'd do what osay says. Acer preinstalled stuff usually comes with resource-eating programs.
Sadly you need your own OS CD because Acer normally doesn't give you one, Acer expects you to use their backup CD which I think is crap.
Luckily, I bought my laptop before Win 7 was released so that I can get the CD no matter what.

No refunds.
I'm removing as much pre-installed stuff as possible.
Did they know they put both norton AND mcafee in this thing?

Norton Online Backup and McAfee Virus Scan/etc. They don't clash.
I just bought an Acer as well. 1.7 GHz is bottlenecking Mabi, enough to notice but not enough to be inconvenient.
Really wouldn't go below 2.0 GHz if I could help it.

Most keyboards now won't register more than 3 keys at a time. Only mechanical switch keyboards do that. However, they are more expensive and usually marketed as "professional" or "gaming" keyboards.
Honestly, my comp is an NCS brand (not even a known brand, lol), and it's a laptop issued by our own school!
It has 1.6 GHz and registers 4 keys. Ah, i should note that these laptops are about 1 year old (they were purchased last year)
@TS: Sorry about your computer, I hope you can find a good solution =/

My girlfriends laptop has better specs than my desktop, but it doesn't run games as fast or as high. For one, there's a BIG difference between an integrated and regular graphics card, frame rate would either be Graphics Card or CPU, if you type in search dxdiag and post what it tells you there, I'll tell you what your problem is.

1) if it has better specs than a desktop it'll run games as fast or as high.
2) no **** there's a difference between an integrated and regular graphics card. State the obvious, you can.
Don't talk out of your ass.
@OP: Your CPU bottlenecks your system.

As strange as it seems, I think this is an issue with Acer laptops. I have been testing 4 keys input and only "asdf" works, other combinations will simply fail.
