Sadly, it'll have to get stuck at 4 piercing, which to be honest, sounds way too good of a ranged weapon for me. I'm not complaining.

Why did they work on most of the contents only to be used temporary for the events? They basically threw away so many good contents because of this. (Doki Doki, Mabiland, SAO)

There are two bugs I've read about so far:
- If you have your option set to immediately fire arrow after using it, Urgent Shot will lock you in place.
- Alban Knight's journal does not save. That means if you change channel, it will erase from your record.
Plus, I'm sure many of us expected a second phase of testing with lots of new, exciting things 'related to archery'.
There was NOTHING new.

My thoughts exactly. Plus KR players bitched the most about archery renovation update, it seems.
I'm starting to have no hopes for this director now.

Well, I'm somewhat hyped for the new alban knight boot camp thingamajig, but this archery update looked promising somewhat, then crashed and burned.
I have my hopes high that the KR folks WILL give the developer an earful, they worship archery over there almost, this was pretty much a slap in the face to a good chunk of their playerbase, and neither will nexon be happy about THAT either. Unhappy players means sad sales. And as much as I am glad for that crossbow, 4 piercing and the sheer damage it gets is just out of the park. Extremely sloppy update and my money's on the good folks in KR, who're probably already on it, to somehow get codekitty off their asses and to make something WORTHWHILE. Even the new 'dungeon' screams "here have filler content, please ignore how shitty we did the update".

Eh, in the end it wont matter. They still wont address any of the balance issues that still exist, bugs that still are in existence, and the mob+position servers going to hell. Mainly hinging them fixing this because it almost looks like a standard crappy dev update (release the content before its actually
ready to be out to meet a deadline, put out a hotfix anytime later), and they pretty much flipped off their entire KR playerbase. I doubt that the garbage pacifier in a neat packaged dungeon is doing anything to disregard that they pretty much did sacrilege to the KR archers, but they're pretty much all the hope there is to actually get this update to any respectable levels.

They really missed, or more accurately skipped, their chance to make archery more accessible and powerful for beginners, and more varied. We're still just going to see point-blank mag & crash shot, maybe with the new skill spliced in and normal hits for trash mobs. Support shot can be good, but it's never much better than power skills, mirage missile is probably still going to be too weak to make a noticeable difference from start to finish, and no one will dare use elven magic missile because of how slow it is. I doubt people will pick up javelins now, the formula is still deeply flawed and the skill is better substituted for firebolt or other power-skills. People are still going to be complaining about missing all the time, I don't want 100% aim all the time but they could have done something to make it more forgiving aside from the new skill.
tl;dr
While I don't want archers to be buffed to all hell, they could have implemented a number of updates to increase variety in skill use as well as making it more beginner and cost-friendly.

Pretty much how I felt. I'm not going to let the director slip away by slapping onto a new content, plus he actually implemented the chaotic arrow skill onto some mobs...? Just why.
As for Throwing Attack, I kept saying that they are very overpowered after the buff and this only proves my point even further. Of course, we still have some users bashing and mocking us for this. Might as well change Mabinogi name into 'Giantnogi' since devCat loves to suck the Giants and their dick so hard for a long time now.

It's like they decided to spend minor tweaks to Archery, and then spend the remainder working on this new dungeon...
I'd love to see what the KR community says about all this.
