I personally don't think this would turn out too well.
Too many live actions of games/cartoons/anime have gone to shit.
Like dragon ball or avatar.

Suddenly reminded of that mario bros knock-off adult film that Nintendo got the rights to solely so that they could ensure that it never again saw the light of day.

Chances of it being shit are fairly likely, but a lot of series are getting live-action films shown to light recently, including Attack on Titan, Naruto, and others.

So he's basically giving it the Avatar treatment. Meaning, by the time he puts it out, video games will have produced far better visuals for far less cost but he will still have the highest grossing box office numbers and several Academy Awards for an otherwise mediocre film that mildly offends some minority.

But isn't Japan doing Attack on Titan? I have faith that the Japanese will do the live-action films right. I have no hope for American film makers doing it right though.
