Starting at rank B, Blaze adds requirements for using the skill while an enemy is being knocked back. This is because the skill itself gives damage bonuses based off of how full the enemy's knockdown meter is, but the training requirement is pretty strict so it can be hard to figure out if you don't know what to do.
You need to use Blaze as an attack that knocks down an enemy when their knockdown bar is ~90% full. In my recording attempts, 83% and below fails while 90% and above succeeds.

- Methods
- The method I use personally is to turn the "reserved attack" option to once or multiple, then do two hits on an enemy followed by a minimum-charge blaze. If I'm quick enough, this gets the training done with minimal MP spent.

- A secondary method people report works for them and might be more reliable for laggier users is to cause the enemy some sort of controlled knockdown with a different skill, and then Blaze them where they land. Ice Spear is mentioned as being nicely controllable for this.
