Haven't played mabi in a while, can someone fill me in?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I know these kinds of requests come off as lazy because I could look it all up, but looking through the patch notes was really overwhelming :S

So I started playing this game in 2008, took a break for a couple of years and then started playing actively again up until around the time when the whole 'bard' thing was new. I took a break, then briefly came back because of all the gunslinger hype that was around before. I played for a while, then stopped again.

I really want to get back into this game again but it looks like a lot has changed since the gunslingers first game out. Could someone please be so kind as to just give a really basic rundown of the main things that changed/were introduced since the release of gunslingers?

"2013, June: G18 (The Saga: Iria)" is when guns came out, more or less, so stuff below that is what you want.

Though the changes have mainly been two new generations, a bunch of skill rebalances/updates/additions, and minor tweaks to the interface and various functions.

... also free weekly rebirth for everybody forever.
Character cards are only used to make new characters now.

Also there's an event that happens once in a while (it's happened twice so far) that lets you put a Dye Well in your homestead. You can only get a well during the event but you can use the well to get flashy (only flashy) dyes year round. Fixed dye costs went down because people have been using synthesis to merge 2 flashy dyes into 1 random normal dye. Not really an update but it had a huge impact. Not sure if that happened before or after dualguns.
