Hi! This is my first post here, so I'm not totally sure how these things go, but I had an inquiry.
I continually get an error sometime after starting the game, and it's always the same- hackshield error 0x00010301.
I emailed support (since their website is under maintenance) and I received a reply (within 24 hours! Kudos to them! Last time it took them 6 months!) and I tried everything they suggested, even cleaning my registry of the corrupted mabinogi related files (there were quite a few) and making an exception in my antivirus.
I've even uninstalled and deleted all previous data from my hard drive and re-installed it using several different installers from the website and restarted my computer. I also did all this as an administrator.
Unfortunately...it still gives me the same error. I don't use mods or anything- I'm just simply trying to play the game. At this point, I'm pulling my hair out (not really, that's an expression) trying to figure out anything I can do to get it to work. I plan on emailing support back, but as a back-up, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here...
Has anyone encountered this error? Has anyone fixed this error?
My OS is Windows 8.1 and my anti-virus is Avast.
[spoiler=Not important, but...]Perhaps it's also worth noting I'm revisiting the game- I'm a veteran player, I suppose, and I'd uninstalled it after I thought I wouldn't be playing again. I think I starting playing around 2008? I dunno, but I had bought a premium character card with a nexon game card my sister didn't want.[/spoiler]
