I came back to Mabinogi last week after a close to 1 year hiatus. It's sad to see a lot of my friends have also stopped playing during my leave.
Dunby looks a lot less bustling than before, although it felt like the population decreases every year.It really makes me wonder did they fix channel 1 to always appear to be "full"
No more sm/npc party crowds in channel 1, perhaps apostle raiding is the new way to grind levels?
So how does the girgarshy/apostle raid thing work? Where do people go? I'm not too familiar with the names.
Also if someone can explain the pros/cons of ranking crusader skills to me that would be great.

Server actually has more people than before.
The reason no one appears to be doing anything is because there's no point in doing any content in the game besides saga II episode 6.

Ch1 appears full because there's 2 afk events... Fishing and afk for event items, those fortune things.

To do Apostle Raids you have to finish G19 first, and you have to go to Emain Macha, behind Bean Rua. You'll be directed there during G19 so don't worry about finding it now.
I actually think the Ruairi server is more active now than a year ago.

Actually, Dunbarton is more bustling than ever, whether or not there's an AFK event. Because of that there's fewer shadow missions and NPC runs.
The Apostle Raid is actually crap, because it's extremely under-rewarding, even less than shadow missions. Outside of organized runs there's no one actively doing it.
You need to finish G19 to do it, but even then you need to be few thousand levels or you'd be too weak to contribute.
Crusader skills can be considered helpful, but other than Judgment Blade they're mostly only good for the raid. However the main downside is that it takes years to get them to their full potential.

I recently returned 1 week back from a 2 year hiatus. It feels empty (mostly because the people i knew quit/guild was inactive). But, the new dailies and stuff to do keeps you occupied! There also seems to be alot more newer players which is nice ( i love spoiling them and teaching xD). If you really can't find stuff to do, I personally do the nostalgia factor (run many uladh dungeons, travel around iria to random places finding ancient monsters, hunting old field bosses, doing random quests, commercing, etc.).

Takes About 4 years of Dailys/Weeklys to max them ;-;

4 years if you never missed a single one.
There isn't much pros/cons for crusader skills. They are a niche set of skills that is useful in only one mission. They could expand the amount of raid types in the future, so these skills could be more useful.

The Sword and Shield skill still have their uses outside of raids (sword is decent damage and shield gives you knockback immunity), and they plan to add more raids in the future. In addition, they're also useful for the Alban Training Dungeon, which was recently added to KR. (That dungeon also gives divine experience, though not nearly as much.)
