Debating between buying a new or used PS4. Advice?

  As the release date for Bloodborne approaches, I can't help thinking how great it would be to be able to play the game on the first day it comes out, and up until now I have only been considering buying brand new. I missed a couple great deals (there were quite a few that came on sale a week ago for about $330) and I'm not convinced I'll see anything else that low again before the 24th.
  
  Now, there are quite a few used PS4s in "Like New" condition that are very decently priced, but I've been hesitant to buy used.
  
  When I bought my WiiU, I knew I wanted to buy new, because I wanted to be able to register the console under my account which came with its own perks, and I wasn't sure if there was anything similar regarding Sony products.
  
  Aside from the obvious point that your mileage may vary with used products, any advice or clarification would be most appreciated.

  Is there a way to set up new account on a used PS4? Such as contact the seller and have him/her do it?

  id get new you never know what kind of abuse a used system has been given and its working life span may be reduced compared to a new one
