Almost all of Mabiland can hold a personal shop. The only places where a shop can't be placed are the main entrance, the rim section that has the sweet and salty snack vendors, and the obvious areas you can't reach or pass. Because of such wide range, I'll make note of some special locations:
- The entire performance area can have shops: Center floor, audience stands, and even both stages themselves, however, for customers to even reach shops placed on the music performance stage without having to reserve a spot, the shop must be placed by the edge. If there's any place in Mabiland that a server's market channel can take over and turn into a shopping center, then I'd recommend this.
- Want somewhere that might get you more traffic, even if it looks a little unsightly? Try the Erinn Park centerpiece and the stairs that lead up to it.
- A personal favorite area of mine would be around the Cave of Trials, the unoccupied tent next to the ice cream vendor, and the exit that leads to the trading post in-between that. I'd advise not to place shops right next Duro or other important NPCs inside Mabiland to give enough room between them and the players.
- Shops can even be placed at the hammer game stands. If you have any form of conscience and don't want the entire server's ire, please, never, EVER, place a shop there.
One more thing of note is that the Tir Chonaill merchant license has direct bank transactions disabled, so it'd be wise to have cheaper items for sale so that most customers don't have to pick up tons of gold bags to purchase your stocks. This may be a deterrent to some, but there are items out there that could probably sell well given the location and license limitations. With that I hope to at least see some shopping fun along with the rest of Mabiland festivities.
