What does Osay's server room look like ?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. It doesn't take a big server to power a little site like this.

You could almost run it off of a BananaPI, a raspberry pi hasn't quite enough ram.

So the server lives in a cabinent in the corner and that's that.

I see a watchguard hardware firewall, a probably 16 port switch, 3 servers, and what looks like a NAS all mounted together in that freestanding quarter cabinent. Neat little setup, probably cost a fair bit to build.

Which one of the three servers is the one that Nation lives on?

It's a vmware architecture.
The big server on the bottom is iscsi storage and the 2 smaller servers are hosts. Nation's VM floats around from one server to the other.
I get all this stuff from work, and use it for a lot more than just websites, so it's not that costly. I got my minecraft server on there, data/media server for all my files and Plex, couple of web servers and dozens of VMs for my lab to test stuff/study.

The NAS on top is where the backups go to before being copied to a USB disk that you can't see on there.
