The only thing that surprises me about it is how is the reaction supposed to take place. I'm not understanding the system flow that powers this thing when it is clearly just a bunch of soda bottles with tubes stuck into them.
Unless each bottle is actually a vessel for the materials to react in and the tubes are just vents to avoid spilling.

They probably didn't actually cook it there. Apparently, these things are found lying around in random places when people want to get rid of them.
