Noob Guide?

Ok, so i must say i am really loving this game.... so much so that i been on for the past 3 days...12hrs+

I have been spending my AP in anything and everything but i know that this is the wrong way to do it to be efficient at the start. since i am under 1000 level... i can reskill my AP everyday..... so this is my question/ questions..

I should mention i am a Human, after testing all races and weighing the pros and cons... they seemed like the right choice. so...

1. What are "good" skills to level at the start? ie weapon mastery, armor, Bard (lullaby), healing....ect

2. Ages to rebirth or stay leveling at? i started at 17, then rebirth to 10. my reason was the starter bonus for 17, but then 10 to get the titles that are for that age. but i was wondering if there is a "best" age to stay around till im over 1000

3. Whats a good ration for experience levels and exploration levels... currently im 122/18 but i what to at least get exploration higher before i rebirth... i know i can daily but it feels wrong to not level it before i do... so i was thinking of rebirthing every 2 days or so.

PS: if anyone has any spare armor or weapons that they could Sell/give to a noob, i would appreciate it. I don't have much gold but if you message me(or add) in game we can discuss it.

1. Melee skills are a safe bet. You can amass a lot of damage from weapons alone and strength is an important statistic for numerous reasons.

2. It doesn't matter what age you rebirth at unless you need to knock out weekly raid requirements (N/A at your level) or fit into age restricted equipment (namely -Combat Power gear, also N/A at your level). Rebirth to whatever age gives the most strength.

3. It's all personal preference. I usually rebirth at around 80/15 but a lot of people settle for 100~140/20~30.

I have some Quartz Pitch Black armor on one of my pets. That's an easy +18 max damage. I'll sell it to you if you're interested.

I would really appreciate the armor.... but how much? when i say im new... i mean it. i started Thursday

1: I'd recommend almost all of the Close Combat talent, even if you don't go into a Str-based skillset. Windmill, Defense, Counterattack, and Combat Mastery are some things you should rank regardless of skillset. (Combat Mastery will contribute to a large portion of your health, 150 HP.) If you're going to be a Lancer, you can't use Defense with a Lance but ranking Defense still gives some defensive benefits. Smash is something you can not do if you're not going into a melee oriented skillset. Assault slash is something I highly recommend regardless of skillset but not as important as things like windmill. Most important of all, rank Critical Hit. Depending on your skillset I'd also recommend Production Mastery, which gives 150 stamina. If you're going to be a Mage, of course you'd already rank Magic Mastery, but also try to rank that skill if you're going to be a Dual Gunner. Depending on your skillset rank either Heavy or Light Armor Mastery. If you're an Archer, Puppeteer, or Fighter. If you're going to be Mage or Alchemist, for sure go Heavy Armor, there are no downsides to using Heavy Armor for those two skillsets. If you're anything else, you're balance may go down because of the dex penalty of heavy armors, but heavy armor is still a safe bet for almost anything else. If you're going to become a skillset that's going to use a shield, like if you're going to be an alchemist, a mage who uses wands and not staves, or if you're a giant and become a lancer, rank shield mastery.

I suggest taking a moment to learn what CP is and how it works. You might also want to consult this list for what skills are CP intensive and should be ranked earlier on. http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/index.php?title=Combat_Power#Skills_with_CP-based_Ranking_Requirements Some skillsets like Dual Guns don't have CP related training requirements, but give massive amounts HP and Str (which jacks up your CP a lot more than anything else).

2: It's up to you. in terms of AP, it's probably best to stay 10 to get the most out of aging. In terms of stats, it depends what stat and race you are, there should be a table on the wiki somewhere. I personally just rebirth to 17 because I don't care about the AP and I want my char to not be short.

3: It's up to you, when I'm active I usually do 100-25. Just do whatever is comfortable for you. You might feel obligated to reach a certain level and that may take the fun out of the game, so try not to be so strict on yourself.
