I have again received an important message from SIU:
All copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual property rights to Tower of God have been purchased from Naver by the Disney Corporation.
Now, I know what you're thinking--and yes, this is as good as it sounds! Star Wars fans worldwide were universally thrilled when Disney acquired that franchise and are eager to see what it does with the series. Well, you can rest assured that ToG will be imbued with the Disney magic we've all come to love. Disney will "reimagine" TOG as an animated series, starting back at the beginning. The series will be geared for children ages 10 and up, and for a wider audience not familiar with--or interested in--manga and anime.
The existing ToG manga will end at the current chapter (vol. 2, ch. 144), leaving fans free to use their imagination to decide what happens next. The new animated series will debut after a brief pause to begin production (12 - 18 months). Episodes will be widely available, being sold on both DVD and Blu-Ray. Disney sees this as a great opportunity to tap into the manga and webtoons market.
How will the series change?
As with any Disney classic, Baam will gain some animal companions. A sass-talking bat that kept him company in that dark cave will sneak into the Tower with him, becoming the Tower's first irregular animal! Baam will also meet a wise magical Shinheuh (divine fish) that will guide him.
The series will be filled with those beloved Disney songs. Some titles include "Reach for the stars", "It's a big world out there", "My friends and me", "There's something special about him", "Gotta keep climbing", and "Towering above you". These will occupy a solid third of each episode.

An anima gathering forest creatures for song.
(This anima is known to be friends with Evan Edrok and other Silver Dwarf Guides.)
A few changes to the plot will be made to be more kid-friendly while preserving everything you love about the story:
There will be no more killing; instead people will merely pass out.
Tests in the Tower will take the form of tag, dodgeball, or other games.
Instead of needles, regulars will use wiffle bats as weapons.
The steel eel on the first floor no longer tries to eat Baam. Instead it brings him back to its nest and tries to keep him there as one of its young.
Rachel is now just a klutz; she merely trips and accidentally knocks Baam out of the bubble.
Disney believes in sending a strong anti-drug message to children, and so instead of trying to kill the king, Fug will now be a drug cartel. In particular, Poken will be a cloud of cigarette smoke.
And as a special bonus: as all kinds of creatures live in the Tower, you can expect to see some cameo appearances of your favorite Disney characters! Minney M. (formerly Yuri) helps Baam out on his first test, and Mickey M. (formerly Urek) has his organization help rescue Baam from Fug. However, Goofy (formerly Parakewl)... won't be as useful.
What will SIU be working on?
Well, due to "creative differences", he has been reassigned to a new spinoff series aimed at girls aged 5-10. Prepare yourself for...
Mahou Shoujo Baam!
a.k.a. Magical Girl Baam (Baamette?)
xVxtIsJ.gif
From left to right, that's Anak, Violet, Androssi, Maria Koon, and Rachel.
Baam (who is now a girl for some reason) is a new student at Princess Academy. Since she's a poor orphan, she is picked on by the other students who are from rich families and nobility. Oh no! But unbeknownst to them, Baam is actually a Magical Girl (previously called a wave controller). And she can use her powers to transform into Princess Violet (Viole in Korean)!
Can Baam make friends with Lil' Androssi and the others even though she's an outsider? Can she stop being bullied by Lil' Anak? Will her new BFF Rachel have her back through thick and thin? And can Baam become the prettiest princess of all and win the princess beauty pageant?
Answer:
FCOL, I don't care. I'd do a Reflejo to my eyes if I actually had to watch this shit.
And can the girls use the power of song and friendship to melt the hearts of Karaka and Ren?
Yes, but only because they're both huge lolicons. Why else would grown men be at a little girls' pageant? Seriously, that's a major red flag right there.
Incidentally, SIU's health has taken a sharp turn for the worse.

FAQ
Is this an April Fools' Joke?
It clearly can't be as April Fools' Day is already over in Korea and most timezones. Also I don't observe April Fools' Day due to religious objections.
Why didn't your announcements from last year come true yet?
The only possible explanation is that SIU's wrist problems delayed everything. Also, the "High School of God" spinoff was so horrible it was torpedoed before even reaching production; all those involved had to commit seppuku. And it's not time for Baam to father millions of children yet; that's in the next volume.
How did SIU contact you?
I channeled him using a oujia board. It sure took a long time to receive this whole message.
And you really heard from SIU?
The spirit said it's name was S.I.U., so I'm assuming it's the same S.I.U. as the author. Though it could be Spirits In Underwear again; they like to play pranks on me.
Are you off your medication?
I'll have you know that I was never being medicated to begin with. Please stop asking me this.
Don't you have anything better to do?
Well I spent all year thinking of this... err, receiving this message.
Don't you know ToG is actually a manhwa, not a manga?
I usually just say manga to refer generically to manga, manhwa, and manhua, for the critically important reason that I never remember how to spell the other two.
You know, Disney actually did a good job with Spirited Away and other Studio Ghibli films.
...That's not a question so I don't have to answer it. And let's not let facts get in the way of this announcement.
edit: removed outer spoiler tag, so no one would miss the spinoff
