Does anyone know if the master title is actually worth it? What exactly does it do, increase your chances of getting higher rolls? Is there any evidence of this? Any personal experiences/opinions?

I'm not sure very many people could even test this. All I can say is I'd like to shake the hand of anyone who makes it to master title, after which I will also question their sanity.

It increases the success rate of the skill, for sure.
Source: My friend who has the title
The part I'm not so sure about is if it increases the chance of getting better grade item. It's possible but I doubt it.

There's been tons of tests in KR and both the title and enchants (like Daunting and so on) appear to have an effect. Not too sure on things like monday or raincast, but they certainly don't hurt so why not...
But RNG is gonna RNG so it doesn't really freaking matter unless you're gonna make 500 guns and want them to be an unnoticeable few % better on average.

To add on to the above, my Bhafel Hunter was made from the same very friend using the title.
The roll was on the lower side. Basically it's all RNG and I don't think you should be too concerned about the title.

It improves your minimum stat rolls by a little, and *ever so slightly* raises your chances at higher ones.
If you're making a business out of selling mass-produced savages and hermits out of your house, maybe go for it. If you're hoping for a better divine or Celtic next update, where materials are scarce, you aren't likely to notice the impact beyond your own superstition/confirmation bias.
