For whenever the event comes back up, what's the difference between Restored and Hidden chests?

As far as I know, the difference is restored require a key and hidden doesn't. Not sure about contents.

[S]Actually, I think both require keys, though I can't remember off the top of my head.[/S]
If the wiki's accurate (
http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Treasure_Box_Event_(April_2014)#Rewards), then the Hidden has a smaller pool of items and contains both Fine and Credne, as well as Incomplete Commerce Reforge Tools, whereas Restored supposedly only contains Fines. Hidden has the buff potions. Restored contains upgrade stones and gems among its larger pool of items.
[S]I remember favoring Restored over Hidden, so you might want to keep your keys for them instead.[/S]

Well the contents are different, yeah, but what I mean is like do they both just show up normally over the course of the event, or do you have to do something special to find Hidden?

Hidden and broken can both come from the chests normally, nothing special required.

The event has been extended until May 14th.
(Might want to edit the main post.)

This makes me want to log on to do something, but I'm in the middle of an extended break (focusing on school b/c of AP tests coming up)...
Frick. I might actually have to log in now.

makes me wonder, this quest seems like it is easy to do alone. Why do people form groups? Is the items any different?

No, they aren't different. Some just enjoy the companionship. Others have alts that have basically NO combat skills at all, and it's actually challenging for newbie players. For my alts, my elf actually and human alt, they're so weak that I basically have to rely on my summon pets to kill them. If I tried to fight them, they'd just die really easily and quickly. Groups can help to remedy this if you don't have some AoE pets.

No you can't. It is once per day on each character. It resets the same time other dailies do though, which would be this hour right now!
