I've tried carpentry, but it's so boring I gave up after rank A. Handcraft is useless, and carpentry produces stuff that you can normally buy at an NPC more conveniently. Blacksmith is also a big no. Mining ores is tedious, and ranking refining is boring. I'm going to attempt magic craft though ^.^:shoe:

Pretty sure you won't get much far with Magic Craft then if you think ranking refining, which is one of the easiest life skills, is boring.
Carpentry - This is the skill that will allow you to make the renovation crossbows, aka good money
Blacksmith - Shurikens, the new weapons, need I say more?
Handicraft - Demonic Gloomy Sundays
Suck it up and do your life skills.

Gloomy Sundays are actually under Carpentry and not Handicraft. The only demonic worth mentioning in handicraft is the Infinity Staff since it can't be obtained elsewhere.
Good luck on your attempt with magic craft though. At the bare minimum, do your material making life skills (Weaving/Refine). It saves the hassle of having to ask others to make them for you, especially tough string/tough thread.

Can't be arsed to train? Be arsed to grind dailies instead. Every 70 that you get is 15 training for free.

If you found those life skills annoying then don't even touch magic craft.
You know a skill is bad to rank when the wiki's training methods tips section pretty much just tells you to grind seals instead of actually ranking the skill.

Pretty much what everyone said here. I basically spent an equivalent of 40m in anniversary training seals to get from rank E to rank 1 in magic crafting. The 4 points near the last couple of ranks, while it's not NEARLY as bad as those who legitimately grinded for it, it was boring as heck.
Save the life skills for last when you're bored of training any other skills or if you really REALLY want that extra stat bonus.

It's ok to be lazy. People like you are why I have a job. I'm max rank in all life skills except engineering, and I work for tips.
(seriously tho, SOMEONE please hire me to mcraft some divines. I just hit r1 and really want to unlock my last 2 subskills.)
Oh, and aside from ranking refining, nobody mines for smithing. It's all about the synth.

There is legitimately no reason to train life skills anymore. If you spend the same amount of energy into honing your combat skills, you'll do fine.

What server are you from? What's your name?

That's not what I'd call a job e.e
But literally, yeah, there's not much reason to actually bother training/grinding lifeskills, just get those skill training seals or skill training pots instead lol

Ha, I was mostly joking about the plight of only having reached a commissionable level of magic craft long after the rush for divines has ended (and seriously next patch's Celtic staves will make Sin obsolete), but if you DO happen to be on Tarlach, I just updated my profile with character information and would love to help each other out.

People only hate doing lifeskills because they can't bot it like combat skills.

No, people hate doing lifeskills because it's usually a multi-million gold + dozens of hours investment for very little return, while most combat skills can be easily grinded up to r1 within a couple hours with, at most, a few thousand gold in repairs/ammo as cost.

I only did lifeskills when I had all day to play mabi, and ONLY during double rainbow. I honestly don't know how Jovo managed to max all his dex/life skills, take his GREs, apply for AND get into a phd program in chemistry, all while working part time too. Fking Jovo so productive -. -
It's like I come home from work these days and I don't do anything on mabi except buy and open some gacha ..........

Some of them are really grindy and time-consuming but I enjoy training them when I get bored of combat/raids
