This is the update found about Mabinogi JP Test. Information and translation included. Though not everything will be known and anything is subject to change.
[spoiler="Interface Changes"]
The interface will go through minor changes, mostly to item description presentation and pick up.
First of all, when you hover your mouse OVER an item that is on the ground, it will show the item window, showcasing its damage, etc. as if you're viewing it from your own inventory. This is to help players just whether to get an item or to leave it.
Second is party window change. Upon forming a party, there is a new section called "Party level" and "Party skills" which will open up.
Party level is what level the party is. It starts at lv.1 and there doesn't seem to be a max level one can reach. Each level adds "party points", the higher the level, the more points it can add. What does points do? It can be used for party skills, which only the party leader has access to!
Party Skills:
Battle Roar (lv.10 party required; 1 point, 20 seconds) - Increase all party member attack by 10% and defense by 10%
Link Attack (lv.20 party required; 1 point, 20 seconds) - Increases party member's attack on the same monster by 20%
Party Tenacity (lv.25 party required; 10 points, 3 minutes) - Decrease Potion Detox by 20%
Lucky Fortune (lv.30 party required; 20 points, 5 minutes) - Increases rare item drop rate by 2x
Divine Star (lv.40 party required; 20 points, 5 minutes) - All monsters drops 2x items, allowing one monster to go through the drop table twice. Works with Lucky Fortune
Party leaders can change, and members can change without affecting party level or points. Full disband of party will accumulate in loss of party. Party level is gained upon killing monsters and completing dungeon/instances.
In additional, 6 icons: Star, Rose, Leaf, Sword, Shield, and Wand can be used by the party leader to mark enemies or players with the 6 icons for organization purpose. Upon marking, the icon will appear above the player or monster's head.

[spoiler="Skill Books and Skills"]
It seems that skill books exist, from what I can tell. They're a rare drop from instance bosses. The books are rank between C, B, A, S, and SS. Once learn, the seals wear off, making it one time use. These books seems to be tradable. Below is the name translated, along with their book rank, and what their description effect is. No list of damage yet.
Hawk Eye (Rank A) - Increases Bow Range
Mystic Eye (Rank A) - Increases Staff/Wand Range
Hawk Crash (Rank SS) - Send a huge energy bird to cause havoc around intended enemies, dealing damage and applying a slow debuff - Bow Only

[spoiler="Equipment and Equipment Set Effects"]
In addition, the game now introduces "set" weapon effects. Which in my own opinion, goes against Mabinogi's "free to use any equipment" philo, but whatever. Each set has a "total" level requirement which is just a total requirement. In addition, there's a new equipment ranking for the new Huxia and Izumo equipment. The ranking is as follows:
Normal (white, compariable to what we have now) - > Green (uncommon) - > Blue (Elite) - Red (Ultimate) - Purple (Legendary)
While white equipment is no different from regular, Green tend to have higher stats, such as +20 more attack. Blue is green but has ADDITIONAL EFFECTS - such as HP +200, or Attack +20, etc. Red Equipment Binds upon equipment and contains special effects, and purple is higher up.
Red and Purple Equipment BIND on equip. Purple Equipment seems to have current talent restriction. For example, a purple equipment can only be used while you're in the warrior talent, but if you are in a hybrid hero talent that contains warrior, you can continue to use the purple equipment. Red has no such requirement.
In addition, it seems that "equipment" effects exist in game. They all have level requirement, and some include tiers (like green tier, red tier). The more pieces you have, the better the effect. It seems higher level sets may not necessarily be better than lower level, but it depends on what one wants to do. Here are some examples:
Ran Min's Vestment Set (lv.1,000 total level to equip)

Ran Min's Hero Vestment

Etc.
There's more, but the sets are made for the following:
Total Level: 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 5000, 8000, 10000, and 15000
Both the 10k and 15k are purple type equipment. Individual pieces will have individual bonus upon drop. For example. Two helmets of the same name may give different bonus upon dropping.
Not sure where these drop, but guessing from certain equipment name like Susanoo Equipment and there's an enemy named Susanoo is a hint.
Some set effects can be match with different weapons, like Susanoo's set, which any of the weapons can give it, but they're different levels.
Also there's accessory combos:
Luo Yang's Hero Accessory Set (Level 1,000 to equip)
Luo Yang's Heroic Spirit
Luo Yang's Heroic Strength
Set Effect
1 - NONE
2 - Will +50, Increased Critical Damage +20%, HP +200
etc.
Accessories can also be colored tier.

[spoiler="Kyoto and Luo Yang Auction House"]
Every weekend, the auction house in both Luo Yang and Kyoto will open up for players. Kyoto's auction house sells items for GOLD, whereas Luo Yang sells items for RYOU. Luo Yang starts Auction at 3:00 pm server time on Saturday, whereas Kyoto starts Auction at 3:00 pm server time on Sunday.
On Wednesday, the Auction House opens and players may submit their players to the Auction Manager. They will hold onto the item. There will also be an option to take back an item. When placed in the Auction House, a player may input:
Minimum Bid - the Minimum Bid Amount
Win Amount - The auto win amount
Note that the Minimum Bid cannot be more than 50% of the Win Amount. In other words, if an item is sold for 20 million, Minimum Bid cannot be put down for no higher than 10 million.
Once the auction starts, the top 30 "rarest" items will be put to sale.
How the game calculates rare item is by the point system in the game. Every enchant on an item will +add unto an item's value. In addition, rarity: How much of the item currently exist on the server, will affect the prices. The color of the item, whether it is flashing or not will have no affect on the value of the item.
Likewise, lost durability, not being repaired when submitted, or other hindering conditions will lower the value of an item. Likewise, higher durability due to a higher grade, or outside sources such as hammers will raise the value of an item. Higher item grades will naturally be valued.
There appears to be no limit, as you can sell anything from equipment, to bhafel hearts, to even quests on the auction, but whether it will be valued or not will differ.
Upon 30 minutes before the auction time, a small popup on the side will appear to players who are above level 100 and who have cleared the quest to visit the cities via continental warp. These popups will allow the user to automatically teleport to the city of choice. These popups will only appear if the player is not in an instance and is currently not fighting. Once the condition is met, such as out of instance or not fighting, the popup will appear. The player can accept it or decline it.
Though once to decline and the player wish to go to the auction, they have to manually walk there.
When an auction is open, the first item presentable will be put up for 1 minute. A window will pop up on everybody within the market.
As the market commences, players who are in the auction area can raise a bid by either:
1,000
10,000
100,000
500,000
Each time the big gets higher, there is a slight second pause as the price updates and then continues. Whoever wins the buyout price or has the highest bid at the end of the time will be awarded the items.
The item can be picked up at the end of the auction from the respective manager. Sellers can obtain their item or money (with 5% tax) back to them at the auction.
After all 30 items of the auction is sold, the auction ends. Players are allowed to leave the auction anytime.
A few things to note: The money that the auction draws from is not from the bank but rather from the auction bank. You can store money in it like a regular bank and withdraw it regularly like a bank. Unlike a regular bank, you have to visit either Luo Yang or Kyoto to interact. The banks can hold Ryou for Luo Yang or Gold for Kyoto. The amount they can hold is 1,000,000,000 or 1 trillion ryou or gold. 30 minutes before auction, adding money is allowed but withdrawing is forbidden. After the auction ends, the money (if a winner) will be deducted from the bank and the player is free to add or remove money from the auction bank.
Since it can hold 1 trillion ryou or gold, depending on the bank, this should save players a lot of space.
