Anyways just go bare-handed for the idle animation, and at any point when the sword is visible put something else in your hands. Guns are interesting for example, but they models reload at each shot (perhaps related to their firing splash or a remnant of other planned animations).

and if u dual wield kirito swords (elucidator and dark repulser) , after its animation of drawing its sword, one of the sword disappears from your back :D
