Mabination + IG/Vine capabilities= $$$$$$

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

Dunno if he can add Vine to that Insert Video tag button as I think it's some crappy 3rd party plugin that supposedly likes to break the rest of the forum. \o/
I'd create a separate custom BB Code tag for Vine (and YouTube, for that matter, so proper HTML5 playback can be supported):
[CODE]<iframe src="https://vine.co/v/{param}/embed/simple" width="600" height="600" frameborder="0"></iframe><script src="https://platform.vine.co/static/scripts/embed.js"></script>[/CODE]
You could then use it by specifying the Video ID in the Vine tag. Something like:
[vine]Ml16lZVTTxe[/vine]
...to embed a video, such as https://vine.co/v/Ml16lZVTTxe

Users would have to be smart enough not to try to fit the whole URL instead of just the ID into the tag, though. xd

Yeesh, very harsh. Sorry if I came off as insulting.

While in my opinion there's a bit of truth in that video, I wouldn't mind Vine and Instagram embedding if it's implimented.

The video embeding system is pretty messed up as it is so I'm not going to fiddle around with it anymore than was needed to make HTTPS work for youtube.
