[KR Mabinogi] Tuan's Spirit Pet Skill Information and Video

I realize this is a duplicate of Rixx's thread but for the sake of organization and having all the information in a single post, going to make this thread.

Now on to the information my fellow KR Test Crew Members and I have gathered.

Additional Pet Notes not mentioned
- It can fly, although this was obvious, I just wanted to state it
- It has a skill called Running Boost that's similar to the Flamemare and activates after a short delay and speeds up it's running speed.
- It's summon ability puts enemies to sleep and deals damage similar to the Sheeptuplets.

Tuan's Whisper
Description: Buffs Music skills and grants 2x Music Skill Training in a 8m Radius
- Passive while summoned
- [S]2x Music Training within 8m of the pet[/S] This is not working currently. No idea why. Description and info from Rixx suggests it should be a thing but it isn't.
- Increases duration of Music Skills with the following formula based on skill data and personal tests: Music Duration = [Normal Duration + (Normal Duration * 3)]
- IMPORTANT! If you desummon before the normal expiration of music buff skills, the increased duration WILL NOT apply. However, if you desummon it after the normal expiration of music buff skills it will apply. You also MUST be within 8m of the pet for the duration buff to apply. You can move away from pet after normal duration expires
- Music Buff Duration Buff DOES NOT apply to Lullaby
Basically this skill's effect is limited to within 8m of the pet for the buff duration to apply and for the 2x training. However, the 8m check for Whisper of Tuan takes place at the time of the normal music buff duration expiration.

Thus you can work around this limitation easily by keeping track of how long your buff has been up and knowing when your buff normally expires. Get the timing down pat and you can summon the pet only as you need it, in order to maintain the duration. How this works is when the normal duration of your music buff is about to expire, summon Tuan's spirit and when it's passed that point, desummon it and you will have the extended music buff duration.

Okay so on KR I have rC Enduring Melody, no enchanted lute (can't test beyond here but...)

Without Tuan's Spirit -> 30sec approx. (give or take due to timing/skill lag)
With Tuan's Spirit -> 1min 50 sec approx. (give or take due to timing/skill lag)

Overature rE
Without Tuan's Spirit -> 40 sec approx
With Tuan's Spirit-> 2min 34 sec approx.

Harvest Song rE
Without Tuan's Spirit -> 2min 8sec approx.
With Tuan's Spirit -> 8min 30 sec approx.!

Lullaby rC
Without Tuan's Spirit -> 10 sec approx.
With Tuan's Spirit -> 10 sec approx.
No change. Does not appear to affect Lullaby

Can't test with March Song or Vivace as I don't have those two.

Tuan's Grudge

Description: Tuan wraps the Enemy in his strong grudge. It gets the enemy a Movement speed decrease within an 8 meter radius
- Decreases Mob Speed by 50% while they are inside of the circle
- Circle disappears after 20 seconds or you desummon the pet, pet remains stationary while skill is active
- 60 second cooldown

- Kingofrunes for purchasing/testing the Pet, organizing the data and presenting the team findings
- Hanae/Teto for gathering pack data about the skill to assist with my tests. Teto especially for figuring out that formula that worked for each of my test cases (timing isn't 100% accurate but it's a close approximation)

The active skill is pretty interesting. That music buff duration bonus is really ridiculous. On the other hand, music is so easy to set up that it hardly matters.

I have a bit of information to correct.

Seems that the buff duration only applies while the pet is summoned. If you desummon it before the normal expiration time of the music, it doesn't extend. If you desummon it after that point it remains.

This factor will probably change things for some people.

UPDATE2: YOU MUST BE WITHIN 8m OF THE PET FOR THE BUFF DURATION TO APPLY!

This rule also follows the workaround I mentioned previously. You can move away from the 8m range after the normal duration expires, any sooner and it won't work.

oh wow I could have used that 2x music training before last weekend where I grinded vivace, overture, enduring, lulaby and enthralling to r1. I was fairly close to going insane.

Ah damn, which Archer NPC did suddenly disappear/die? we need that one to be reborn into soe kind of Hawk-pet to give 2x Archery Training so Support Shot won't be an annoying Grind anymore.

There is something I just thought of that I'm going to test when I get home.

Depending on how they do that Tuan's Whisper check there may be a way to work around it with clever manipulation of timing, much harder to do accurately if you aren't using a stop watch to time this but...

If they do the check before the skill is about to expire and not before you use the buff (probably why lullaby is not affected as it does not affect your character) then you could summon the pet before your normal expiration is about to end and then desummon it after it ends to maintain the buff.

However if they do the check before you use the skill and before it expires, well then this wouldn't work.

I will test these findings tonight. I will then do a separate video explaining it.

Confirmed. My theory was correct. You can summon it around the time your music buff duration is about to expire and then desummon it afterwards. Win!

I think we were wrong on the 2x music training effect.

Either:

1) Our assumed information from Rixx was incorrect
2) It's broken and isn't working as intended
I tried with Music Playing, Battlefield Overature, and Discord and none of them worked

But Elatha's only alchemy skill was Alchemy Mastery. Then again he had it at like r6 somehow. I guess Elatha's questioning of his "Destiny" wasn't completely unwarranted. . . (Is he a mage? Is he a warrior? What's that random alchemy skill doing there? Should he pick up archery?)
