[Tool] Mabi Stat Reader

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. - Intro
This is a tool that will read data out of the game's RAM as it runs.
This is useful for grabbing info that's not in the package files.
It will also show you info that the server normally overrides.
It should work for both NA and KR (live) clients.

What sort of situations could this help in?
- Using the coordinates to check distances, ranges, and movements.
- Finding fractional stats and tiny food bonuses.
- Tracking exact CP changes.
- Seeing which skills contribute to which bonus stat slots.
- Testing elemental combination info.
- Seeing color codes on items without client mods.
- Checking if the max durability on an item is the base or not.
- Seeing the exact range on a ranged weapon.
- And much more.

- Installation
1 - Put Mabi Stat Reader.exe anywhere you want.
2 - Make sure you have HSLaunch running. (If not the client will kill itself.)
If you don't know what that is, sorry, gotta' find out yourself.

- Use
Start Mabi Stat Reader at any time you want, and follow the displayed instructions for the data you want to get.

Generally you click the Scan button, do something in-game, then stop scanning and click Display to read out the info. You can click Display again as needed to update the readout. Note that the white sections are memo boxes, so you can copy-paste the text from the program to somewhere else.

Updated with some more item structure data copied from Aura.
Also removed some packing on the exe 'cause AVs were flipping their crap over it.

This is really cool. Actually being able to see how the game handles info is a lot different than I expected it would be. Just goes to show how different each programmer is.

NA r204 changed a bit of data around so I updated with new signature scans and it should be back to working.

Alright, I've updated and changed how it works in general, it should be much quicker to pull the data in, and it should keep track of the right type of data as Mabi shuffles it around in RAM.

Crafting quality and other bits like that don't seem to be in the stats of the item itself, rather in a different structure from it and I haven't been able to find it in a repeatable+targetable way yet.

I do have a theory but we'll see how it goes today.

EDIT: Okay didn't work out. I have a rough idea of where the other data structures of an item could be, but I can't actually find a reliable example of them to work off of.

But I can't find the cooking string and player name in the same structure (so cooking method storage for training must be converted or something), and even though I know player name is in there, I can't find the name and the quality in the same memory region either (assuming quality is 4-byte like stated in the log).

But this tool only work for about 2-3 times for me (I think about late Aug or so). After that, it stop working for unknown reason. I want to know is it still working for you? Maybe I have some program that interfere with this program.

It is really useful for me to know my character's Combat Power without the use of any mod or packet sniffer. But if it come to my last resort (if this program really doesn't work). I may need to use packet sniffer after all...

Still working for me, may be your antivirus, you can try whitelisting it or the folder it's in. I've noticed AVs in general being more paranoid in the past few months.

When you say AV, I did remember that Avast had detected this program as virus and refuse to even let me download it. So I have to disable Avast and downloaded it then put on the white-list folder. But it still did not working for me.

Anyway, maybe Avast is the real problem that block this program from functional. But strange enough that it did not work even I put it on white-list folder. Maybe I need to completely disable Avast to gt this program to work.

Edit : Nope... It still didn't work... I really have no idea now. But I'll try to find out what interfere with this program.

PS. When I re-activated Avast it quickly deleted the mabireader in an in blink of an eyes even it is in white-list folder... Avast is really terrify when it come down to virus...

I'd go and report this to Avast, but my experience with various AV companies shows that all they'll do is whitelist the hash, so every time I update I'll need to send it in again because the new version won't be whitelisted. Had to get the same Terraria trainer whitelisted like 8 times in the span of a month. :\

I'm considering just taking this down and turning it into a thread about the table 'cause it'd be a lot easier and less of a hassle to distribute a table version with mods removed and junk, though people would have to google around for themselves to find how to run it and stuff.
