5 is one of their merch channels, there are multiple because they run out of shop room. I think 1~5 is their shop channels on the server we are on (Lute Server), though I also heard 2 isn't as full as 1 and 3~5.

If they merged the servers, we would absolutely have a good population. Mabinogi does not have an activity level appropriate for four servers, and for as long as they go without merging, the problem will only compound. People think the game is dead/dying, they ditch, visible population lowers, people think the game is dead/dying... etc.

Funny thing is that people has been asking this for ages and each time Nexon has refused. I'm not sure why Nexon keeps refusing. Only thing I can think of is that merging servers is bad publicity as it means admitting that your game isn't popular enough to keep 4 servers moving. Not to mention the logistics of it.

That and also it would be difficult to merge as some data is stored as some sort of Highscore, like who unlocked the first Karu dungeon (I unlocked the 47 on Mari) or things liek seal stone where the name became a legend.. each server only has one per seal stone but if we merge what happen

Higher level player keeps the rights.
I'll change my name if some other server's kaeporo is higher level than I am.

At this stage of the game I don't think anyone other than those who actually got the seal stones cares about them, not to mention a lot of the people who broke the seal stones probably don't even play.
To make it both fair and interesting I'd say let everyone who has a seal stone title keep it, but also re-seal the stones and let people break them again.
For any high-score type stuff, let people who deserve high scores re-earn them. If it was just luck them maybe you'll get lucky again. Who cares? Probably a tiny percentage of the players (those who have said high scores). This is for the greater good, some high scores are irrelevant.
As for character names highest level would be one way to do it, though I think character creation date would probably be them more logical approach.
Guild names would work the same way, first created date, others have to rename. Guild stones all get wiped, start a new land rush to get guild stone spots.
As for a server merge being bad publicity I hardly see it that way. First of all it's their own fuck-up for enticing every single new player for the past i forget how many years to chose Alexina with the "NEW" tag, causing a disproportionate flow of new players per server.
This would require adding a lot of functions to the game like self-serve renaming of characters/pets/guilds but I don't see how that's in any way complicated for an entire dev team who created their own game engine instead of using a standard one.
One huge server with 20+ channels would be way more interesting to play on than a mostly empty ghost server. Tarlach players know most of all what that's like. One bigass server would mean all new players go to the same place, no dividing up the player base. From a social standpoint the game would be way more interesting, after a few months the economy would stabalize and become pretty interesting as well (nerf S2E6 first though).

I agree with Osay on pretty much every detail; admittedly, I know most members of Simply would be disappointed if Devil lost his seal stone though.

I honestly think its possible to merge all the servers into one regular size server with 7 channels. I mean, the playerbase really isn't that large. With correct optimization it should be possible. If not 7 then 10, maybe 15 channels max.

Yeah, definitely not 7. Alexina already has 7, so jamming everyone together with that would stink. I think 10-15 sounds pretty good since the population will steadily increase (hopefully, anyways) over several years. And this is assuming we ever even get an entire server merge. I forgot how many channels KR has; I'm curious now! Was it 20+?

Personally for seal stone thingy... I think they should be reset weekly kinda like with the Iria bridges and dungeons, it'll encourage less elitism.
But yeah, lot of people have been asking for a server merge for a long time now, but Nexon won't do it for some reasons. I want to see all four server get merged, with 15 channels.
