Around December of 2014, my Mabinogi decided to quit working. I would load up the game, wait for the textures to finish loading, and then select my character. After selecting my character, the game went into a loading screen, followed by a back screen that was playing loading screen music. Then the game crashes, and I am forced to restart my computer (an unaltered hp pavilion). I have looked for weeks for possible problems and tried to look for an answer, and the only thing that seems to have affected other people is the initialization of the pieione engine. After doing a bit of reading, I saw that it should only take about fifteen seconds to initialize. Mine takes about thirty-two seconds. I also noticed that the initialization gets stuck for a couple seconds at about 80%, but goes really quick up until about 60%. I don't know what to do, please help.

I went ahead and moved the thread for you.
Just for reference, the Questions & Help sub forum is for posting questions related to Mabinogi such as where to find an item, how something works etc and not issues with running the game.
As for your problem can you provide some more info?
Version of windows along with your PC specifications will help a bit with getting some answers.
For instance, have you ever tried reinstalling your Mabi since the problem started? Just to rule out any problems with the client's files.

Have you tried a fresh install in a new directory?
Uninstalls tend to leaves hidden junk behind (regedit, etc).
E.g. rename the mabi folder to mabiNEW or something else when you install

First of all, sorry for posting in the wrong forums, this made the most sense, and I'm running windows 8. It's worked before on 8, though. I've tried re installing several times.SPECS:AMD Elite quad-core A8-6500 Accelerated processor, 8GB DDR3 System Memory, 2TB Hard Drive, AMD Radeon HD 8570D Graphics, and Windows 8.
