Giant or Human Close Combat + Lance

I've decided to make a character, and devote it solely to Close Combat, which I will eventually build into being a lance user. I don't know what would be better, to create a human or giant for this. I heard that the latest update gave Human close combat a huge buff.

What do you think?

Human close combat is currently ridiculous enough that most people are scrambling to sell their lances, and those who are keeping theirs only need them to use one skill:

If you do want the full lance experience though, then giant is the way to go.

Giants still outscales humans. Pretty much in other trees too. I just enjoy being a human due to the flexibility and fashions.

Actually that is false.

You're forgetting how powerful FH is, and Giants are the ones getting outscaled in other aspects too, because humans will still scale the best for puppet, have strong range, or just be good at about everything. Giants on the other hand, will only be impressive at strength related talents, and still be worst on puppet, and have just about nothing for range.

If you're gonna get gears around lance though, Giant is the answer, since the smash multipler with piercing will do wonders.

Humans win at:
-Close Combat
-Guns (marginally)
-Puppets (marginally)

Giants win at:
-Lances (mostly a judgment blade weapon now)
-Ninja (marginally)

The rest is equal or with minor racial perks.

Either way, doesn't matter because devcat loves to shuffle things every so often and next you know elves will be shooting 2000% normal attacks making both humans and giants look bad, and then it'll be giant's turn to stomp for 500000% damage, and then it'll come back around to humans cause they are just very bad at game balancing.
