  Ive played tera before and I can tell you the mechanics are basically the same in difficulty. It seems you havent done poharan 4 man or you might not be saying these things since in poharan 4 man after first boss the 2nd boss does attack non tanks, needs people to cc the boss during specific attacks or the tank will die eventually, and needs people to pay attention to timers or they can kill other players. For 3rd boss they do attack non tanks, you need to pay attention to your fire stacks or you will take massive damage if the boss decides to explode them on you, and the adds are extremely annoying to deal with. And on poharan herself, if someone doesnt activate the vents during her ice aoe its an instant wipe or close to it, you need to seriously pay attention to her animations or you will die from her knock up, and the adds in there can fuck everyone up very badly if someone doesnt do something about them and keep them busy the entire fight.

  
  
  I will admit I have not yet done Poh 4-man. However, for 6-man and 24-man, the only reason I see party wipes is because either people are heavily undergeared or have no idea what the fuck they're doing.

  It is when you havent actually experienced the end game and are trying to make assumptions based on mid game.
  
  The 4 man is much more difficult than the 6 man version for multiple reasons:
  
  1. The damage from bosses is exponentially higher.
  2. The hp for bosses is higher as well if im not mistaken.
  3. The enrage for bosses is shorter.
  4. There are no telegraphs, you actually have to pay attention to the bosses animations to tell what they are doing.
  
  In 4 man, one hit from slashimi takes out like 1/3 of my hp depending on the hit, thats not counting his spit and the boiling water. Tae Jangum's stun then throat slash attack takes out almost half my hp and i cant take more than 1-2 stacks of poison or i will die. Mak sobo constantly puts fire stacks on everyone no matter if hes targeting you, and if you take his explosion attack you will die, not to mention his aoe he sets down will take out more than half your hp. For poharan the ice aoe WILL kill you or put u so close you might as well be dead. The regular in and out aoe takes out like 1/3 of your hp each hit if you get hit by it, and if she knocks you up if shes not cced you WILL die. This is all taking into account an actual dps soul shield and not using the pvp one because honestly if everyone used that one theres a chance you will die to the enrage. By the way, all the other enrages ARE instant death. Tae Jangum fills the entire place with poison mines, Mak sobo summons one of those firewall orbs that one shots you no matter what, and I cant even remember poharans but it probably has to do with her ice aoe. There is ALOT to punish you in 4 man for fucking up, the damage is extremely high and you cant just block everything as there is an enrage for every fight. Now thats not to say parties cant burn through it with enough gear, but the same can be said for TERA.
  
  The reason I snapped at you is because you legitimately tried to compare 6 man to TERA end game when 4 man is actual end game and 6 man is basically casual. Not to mention with bloodshade harbour release and mushin's tower the difficulty will only go up.

  Got my weapon at max level of true profane rank. Getting it to siren doesn't seem worth it at all for such a small boost V.S cost.
  Also upgraded my accessories as much as I could. Don't know if it's some kind of bug but the next stage on all of them is some high rank siren stuff with a ridiculous cost (more than the weapon), while the previous rank was relatively nothing (didn't even need a moonwater stone).

  Profane -> Siren isn't because of damage. It's because the accuracy and evasion changes to critical chance and piercing. Both weapons have a chance to proc chi regeneration as well: Profane gives 30% chi per second and 100% on the final second (I don't remember how long it lasts), while Blight/Infernal/Siren have a chance to instantly restore 70% of your chi. IIRC Pirate has the same secondary stats as Siren.
  
  It's entirely your decision on whether which benefits you more. For my class, assassin, almost all my stealth trigger and stealth attack skills along with one out of stealth skill regenerate my chi completely, so I don't necessarily need the chi benefit from either weapon, and can just get away with increased critical/piercing.

  Is it me or is B&S's community just absolutely dreadful? I try to tell people that their soul shield isn't suitable and I suggest they get the ones from the Valor Stone merchant. Instead I get insulted and they act like they know better. :stress:

  Well NA's community is the most toxic of all the communities ive seen for this game so its probably just NA.
  
  However for the soul shields honestly the rule of thumb for leveling up is:
  
  Jiangshi>Blight>Scorpion>Tomb of Exiles>Profane Jiangshi>Moonwater Arena/Blackram Supply
  
  The end will change tomoro when they release tower of mushin and bloodshade harbor though. And blight and tomb of exiles can be filled in with others later on if you didnt feel like staying and farming the soul shields. The valor stone soul shields tend to be trash and not worth the valor stones honestly.

  Maybe not Moonwater's Valor Shields, but I find Viridian Hero and Cinderlands Renowned effective in bringing me through their respective purple dungeons, until I got their shields as well. Still, achievements are nice bonus at least.

  Its fine for achievements I guess but I wouldnt recommend them for any real content. And I find them a waste because you can level up so fast its unnecessary. Besides, scorpion is arguably better for the level 36 dungeon anyways.

Mushin makes a surprise appearance and offers you a chance to turn the mark of the black rose from a weakness into a strength by renouncing the ways of hongmoon and instead dedicating yourself to the dark arts. You accept (even though you the player dont actually get to choose that) and he infuses you with his dark chi. This is all after yunma fei is abducted by jinsoyun and iksanun (one of the four guardians) is killed by his own son who didnt even know iksanun was his father but wanted revenge thinking iksanun was the reason for his village turning out the way it did and his mother dieing. The little shit gets what he deserves though since he made a deal with jinsoyun that if he killed iksanun she would free his fellow villagers under her and the talus army's oppression, however she doesnt tell him that before they had even finished with this she had infused the villagers with dark chi and transformed them into hell fiends which he quickly realizes when the village's elder tells him that iksanun is his father and the only person who can stop jinsoyun right before he kills himself before he turns into a fiend.   If you do not like spoilers I SERIOUSLY recommend not reading part 2 as it is for the foreign storyline that we do not even have yet. You have been warned....
  
  [SPOILER="Part 2"]I'm a bit hazy on the foreign storyline and a couple of them are a bit different based on region, however what basically ends up happening afterwards and this is really generalized is to embrace the full dark side so to speak you must fall deeper into said dark side by defeating your friends and stealing their chi (by friends ofc i mean the npcs you have met). So what ends up happening is you go along and start beating up those friends, stealing their chi, and all around being a dick to them. Now I'm a bit hazy on the specifics and if its changed or not since I basically watched these vids a couple years ago but you end up betraying Mushin for some reason and he gets mad at you and basically tells you "fine ill just take all that chi back that you stole since its all connected to me anyways" and drains you of all the dark chi in your body before leaving you. This part I might be a bit mixed up about its either Madun shows up and sees your basically drained on chi and uses this opportunity to put the finishing touches on you so they can finally infuse you with the FULL power of those 8 warriors or w/e and purge the mark of the black rose from your body and then you end up going back to the friends that you beat up and reinfusing chi into them, OR its the other way around and mushin had drained his chi but not the other people's chi from you and you go infuse them back with their chi and then your empty idr. Annnnyways, once you do that you basically get the full power of the hongmoon inside you since the mark of the black rose stops fking up your chi. Now all the while jinsoyun is preparing something very big, she intends to summon the dark lord to their realm by using namsoyoo as a sacrifice since shes the last person alive with the royal blood needed for the ritual, however you interrupt and try to stop her and basically she turns into some weird thing and you have to beat her up. Once thats done Mushin steps in and tries to do something (I forget the specifics) but it turns out that inside of him he actually had a fragment of the dark lord that had been sorta subconsciously affecting his decisions so as to subtly help jinsoyun or whoever open the gate for the dark lord to come to their realm. He did not know this, however jinsoyun did and had purposely went through all of this trouble (and I mean EVERYTHING, even the begining parts) just to get mushin to show himself so that she could expunge the dark lord from this world completely. She is able to destroy the fragment in him or something, but the gate for the dark lord is already opening and the only person who can stop it is YOU, yep you. This part is where you basically become a bad ass and jump into the sky surging forth at the portal with all your badass hongmoon glowy stuff in front of you and you blow up the portal and the dark lord with it. Jinsoyun ends up sorta dieing? its a bit complicated and about to get to that. So afterwards everything sorta goes back to normal right? Not really, this is the best part of the storyline imo... So you are able to somehow go into the spirit realm sort of or w/e and you get one last chance to talk to the spirits of your fellow brothers and sisters of hongmoon along with your master. They tell you thank you for keeping on the hongmoon path and such and that they are going to move on now and not to worry about them and such. Its really a very heartwarming farewell. Right before they do though Jiwan or w/e her name is the one with the celestial blade of the 4 guardians shows up with jinsoyun's body and asks you politely to infuse her with some of your hongmoon chi so that she can live a normal life and forget all about her dark side. Your sorta begrudgingly accept and do so, and she turns into an innocent little girl. By the way, the floating woman in the very beginning that saves you from drowning is yes jiwan of the 4 guardians.
  
  Before I forget to mention this, sometime basically right after you go to the side of mushin theres a flash back that really explains how all of this happened. Basically jinsoyun was jiwan's apprentice and was learning things from her but mushin came and I believe killed jiwan to try and get the celestial blade but jinsoyun steps in and tries to stop him and puts him near death with the mark of the black rose. The other 2 guardians show up and are dumbstruck by what's happening seeing jiwan dead, but mushin uses the opportunity to blame her death on jinsoyun and the other 2 believe him. She ends up defending herself and beating up iksanun too I believe until hong steps in and goes hulk mode and beats her up and throws her off a cliff where they think she is dead. Thats basically the backstory to how it ended up starting.
  
  I know i'm missing alot of details and some of this might not be correct but I am very tired and havent looked at the storyline in a while. Also I'm missing something else kinda cool but I want to sleep so blah... There is also more to the storyline, which is really neat but thats saved for another day, thats just the first "chapter".[/SPOILER]
  
  In the end I could be missing some key things or the storyline could have been changed since I believe it was changed a bit but I am not sure. If anyone knows better than me you are welcome to point it out. It's honestly a really nice storyline imo for an mmo....

  [SPOILER="Part 1"]I don't think I've seen that cutscene with Brightstone's end, so I'm guessing it happens as we talk to Mushin in his tower, or it might have glitched on my section. Well, Illsum got what was coming to him, just like Yonkai met his fitting end. It sounds as if the Skyhaven Resistance was a complete failure.
  
  About Mushin though... I thought the Sages perished/ascended/whatever in the tomb with the Legacy? Anyway, they actually tell us Mushin's leading us down a dark path... And yet we're forced to follow Mushin's advice. :sigh:[/SPOILER]
