PSA: Lucky Upgrade Stones are Broken!

  Just heard this so thought I'd share before people go and use them.
  
  The Lucky Upgrade Stones CAN fail before step 6!
  
  I would highly advise waiting a bit to see what Nexon does regarding this but looks like another classic fail. :c

  The prompt when upgrading shows up just like a normal stone. As far as I can work out right now they are just regular stones with different text.
  
  Seems like Nexon added them to the hot time and didn't test to see if they actually behave as they should. Kinda lame but it is also typical of them. I just wanted to make sure people knew before they risked it on an item and lost a level thinking it would work.
  
  EDIT: To clarify, the official forums has a pretty big thread on the issue right now, and people have been providing screenshots of both the dialog and items failing with the stones.

  As far as we know anyone having a success with the stones is just luck, you would have used any stone and it would work. Otherwise we wouldn't have a 6+ page thread of people failing on the nexon forums.

  Used blue upgrade on step 3 wand - fail.
  
  Knowing how well Mabi has been about resolving problems, I'm sure it'll be handled soon. If not, oh well, it's just two stones, and they were free. ~can't complain.

  It's perfectly legitimate to complain if something was promised to you, you made plans around that promise, and then the promise was not respected.

  I had to spend 5mil after this fail to attempt to get my guardian staff back to s5 after the stone failed, but it seems that I now have an s1 staff and 10k. I hope they do some kind of rollback with this.

  I don't think the entire playerbase should be penalized because you had bad luck.
  
  2 actually-functioning lucky stones and 60K should be enough compensation.
  - One to reverse what the broken stone itself did upon failure (if it failed).
  - The second to do what the first giveaway should have done.
  
  Anything else beyond that is your problem, not anybody else's.

  If you already had S5, why did you use a lucky stone on it to begin with? Lucky stones do not increase the success rate of 5>6 only 1>5.

  It sounds like you tried to go s5 to s6, which the lucky stone would not have protected anyway.

  I have to agree with Rydian on this matter. Even just 2 working event stones would be enough in my opinion to reverse the problem.
  
  We will likely see Nexon's decision on the matter some time tomorrow since today was Memorial Day. There is no way they will rollback though, they only ever do that in extreme cases.

  What I meant wasn't a whole system rollback, just for those who use faulty stones. jfc no one in their right mind would propose a full rollback.

  I never said I already had s5? I was s4 attempting to get s5
  
  EDIT: Nevermind, I see where I was wrong. I meant that I was trying to get to s5. Ignore the "back" to s5 part.

  Unfortunately, due to how the game works internally, you can't do selective rollbacks. It's all or nothing.
