Server Transfer

  One thing I am curious about though... what about the items stored in dress room? Would they get transferred into the new server as well or no?
  
  Do your titles transfer as well or do you lose them? I have Sabina's Valentine title I'd like to keep and so on.

  At this point, a giant server with many channels...would be best for Mabi NA..it really would. I wouldn't view it as defeat honestly because overall the game has a decent amount of people, just not enough to split between four servers...

  Don't think there's been a server merge since the introduction of the dressing room, not sure.

  I've never actually experienced or seen a server transfer happen myself. This is just to confirm the rumors that it actually did exist at one point, at least in KR, for individual characters.

  That's a system mabi doesn't have.
  
  Anything to handle any of this, mabi doesn't have. All of it would need to be designed, structured, coded, and edited into the existing game from scratch. A rename system, a sub-character system, a pet ID system, a post-move tagging system, how to handle server-centric data, all of it.
  
  Mabi has nothing to handle any of it, all of it would need to be created first. And given the state of accounts and things in mabi, that's unlikely to happen barring an account system rewrite.

  K, I updated the first post with the current list of items that you can't transfer with. I pulled the DB out of r204 and the matching names come from the US localization files, so anything in Korean is unreleased in the US anyways.

  Alexina was added back when we got elves and giants; probably the only excuse for a "fresh start" server the game has ever had.

  I mean, think about how many pets the average established player has, even the newbies and stuff use up at least 2 names per player with the default horse, then there's all the event pets and saga pets people didn't even buy. The average player on Mabi probably has ~9+ names in the name pool used up even if they only have one "normal" character. Multiply that by all the players and you have a huge obstacle.

  Though I wish they would just adopt the name system of games like PSO2, where you can have any name even if it's taken, and people can differentiate/find you by a separate name like a family name for your whole account that would be visible in the character info/friends list.
  The only con to this that I can think, is that you might be limited to one guild per account, unless they allow us to join multiple guilds like in Guild Wars 2.

  I honestly think it's better if they also check for activity, to be sure that person has logged in within the past year or two, at least, because it would be nice to clear up names of people who rushed to make a character on the first day, then quit permanently.
