So i have 2 r1 liberty sabers im confused on how final hit max damage reforge works in order to increase my final hit damage overall should i go for ele 3 on both of my weapons or the final hit max damage on both of my weapons?

If you had to choose between the two, I'd choose the ele 3. The biggest flaw with Final Hit Max damage reforge is that it does not benefit from multipliers, like Final Hit multiplier, BFO, etc. However... if you're considering the elemental immune monsters more seriously, you should look into Max Attack power as well. Those will benefit from multipliers, and will be a bit more useful in elemental immune contents, since elemental reforge won't take effect.

Hm...
Let's say your Final Hit is R1 with 400-600 damage with the swords on.
That's average 560 (assuming 80% balance). Assuming 40% BFO too.
Your base damage per-swing would be ~2,240 with no reforges (3,136 with BFO).
2,240 (3,136).
Final Hit Max Damage Level 20 x2: +400 damage at the end.
2,640 (3,696).
Max Damage Level 20 x2: +80? max damage before the multiplier.
2,560 (3,584)
Lightning Level 3 x2: +~33% damage each swing.
2,979 (4,170) on non-immune mobs.
Is my logic on max damage versus FH damage correct?
The way I see it, mathematically, +2 x4 can't be as much as +10.
Even less if the max is per-weapon, only +40 per swing.

Reforge levels should be level 10 for each sword not level 20. Unless this was changed the past month I've been inactive.
Also to answer ur question, I would stick with either elemental or max damage reforge on them since it lets u use them outside of fh with benefits. My beams had ele 3 on one and max damage level 12 (getting that reforge over level 10 was rare so dont expect it) on the other so that I could have the best of both since I used FH in both ele immune content and non ele immune content.

Dual lv 3 ele is +44% damage.
There's other factors such as bone chip, bfo can go up to 52% and it's better to have overall more general damage than slightly more specific damage.
Also yeah, 1h reforges only go up to lv 10 each hand. Though max dmg reforge seems like an exception and can go up to at least lv 12.

My concern is that Final Hit > Max Attack in the lineup.
If both at level 10, if both are level 4, if BFO is used on both or not, if bone chips are used on both or not, if BFO is +100%....
Reforge levels being equal, Final Hit > Max Attack for Final Hit attacks which seems to go against advice given.
Is that correct?

Assuming 560 max:
Max damage 10 x2=40+560=600x4=2400x.5(50% bfo)=
3600
FH max 10 x2=200+(560x6)=
3560
FH max damage reforge is not affected by FH multiplier, bfo, bone chips, or anything else that modifies max damage since its a standalone increase to max damage for a specific skill.
The difference would probably be even more if I factored in bone chips but I didnt feel like it since this should be sufficient. Check my math if I did something wrong do tell me.

Even with lower damage like 400-600, Final Hit Max Damage does not beat out Max Attack power as shown above.
Also, when you have have a rank 1 reforged weapon, it's a silly idea to reforge for the situation you're in, especially if you're in the early game area. Considering how much easier obtaining STR has gotten, I'm not going to recommend a reforge that will last the user a month at best. Good gears have been ridiculously easy to get recently (hello 1mil Oblivion burns) as well as some other easily accessible gears. If the player would fall under the category, I would rather recommend using a pair of beam swords until the player is strong enough to use Liberty Sabres at stronger potential.
As a rule of thumb, when you're going to make a gear that you'll use for a long time, you should be looking at the end game potential. Rank 1 Liberty Sabres fall under this category because of easier accessibility of good reforge, and hence, you should not get Final Hit Max Damage as your main reforge.

Assuming 40% BFO...
- Nothing
560 normally
2240 in FH (x4)
3136 with BFO (x1.4)
= 3136 total
- Final Hit Level 10
560 normally
2240 in FH (x4)
3136 with BFO (x1.4)
3336 from reforge (+200)
= 3336 total
- Max Damage level 10
560 normally
600 from reforge (+40)
2400 in FH (x4)
3360 with BFO (x1.4)
= 3360 total.
So it was whether the reforge applied before or after BFO that mattered?

Ya basically the main reason the reforge isn't as good as max damage while in fh is because of max damage % modifiers like bfo, bone chips, and skill modifiers. The fact that it isn't affected by any of those allows max damage reforge to outshine it even while using fh.

Without crit, it's the 4x multiplier on rank 1 Final Hit causing most of that, and then that can crit~
