I would find it funny if they make the same mistake as before. Unlike the past one, the past one was specifically said to not effect 5>6. But this stone would be encouraged to be used on 5>6. . .

This is the perfect chance to Up my Tribolt wand. I only have 3 accounts I can throw at this and I already have a step 6 hermit staff. I could try my 2 CRK swords I suppose...
Before I attempt to do this, I'll take a screenshot of my item and screenshot proof the upgrade window before attempting it as a security precaution incase it's bugged. I'm pretty sure Nexon can fully compensate items to their original state these days

If it's reported and looked at quick enough that records aren't purged.
Or, you know, if whoever handles it is nice and knowy enough to make you a new thing.

All the item restores I ever heard of have been clean, random (often bad) stat rolls, and random color.
So basically you get a worthless item to compensate your lost godly item.

When I got my rosemaries back they gave me the gloves with random r1 reforge and like a ton of crednes or something. Basically he told me to give it a shot and see wat I got, but honestly the gloves were so fking old and the reforge was outdated that it was the better option in my case lol.

Red Upgrade Stone of Protection (Event)
Used to further upgrade equipment that already has jewel upgrades applied. Usually increases critical damage.\nUpgrade attempts won't fail until +6. (Not tradable)
Blue Upgrade Stone of Protection (Event)
Used to further upgrade equipment that already has jewel upgrades applied. Usually increases damage.\nUpgrade attempts won't fail until +6. (Not tradable)
Whether the translation is right or not who knows...

Change the "until" in the translation to "up to" and you've got a right translation.

So it's not a 5-6 saver?

LOL rip..

It is 5-6 saver, perhaps "through" is the even better translation.
Now remember, it doesn't guarantee 5-6 success, it only guarantees that the item won't break.

Uhm, isn't it like actually still possible to still fail with that stone, just that the item won't poof if you do?

That's what it sounded like when I first heard of them but now I'm definitely not jumping into this until I see proof of what happens.

My understanding is these stones act just like the compensation event we had - A failure won't lower your result.
That event still could fail at 6 though, and the wording on this implies they can too if it's not a mistranslation.

Here's a proof. This should be your clear-to-go.
This page is a blog post of a user who attempted to R6 their bow, failed, but the item didn't blow up.
