Perma combo card and "a bunch of training seals" from 120 bronze marbles? Some insane luck right there. I've gone through several hundred (300-400) and best I got was a 21 pt training seal from a board completion box.
To be fair I buffered it with silver/gold marbles for more moves, and to prevent negative effects. I probably should have mentioned that. Got another perma combo card this morning, except this time used all silver/gold cause I was too lazy to spam cooking dungeon.
You know, if you want to get the most out of this, you almost need to have like 10 gold marbles per 100 bronze marbles considering how often you land on out squares >.>

I landed on the last "Out" 4 times in a row. The 3 space block seems to ALWAYS be a negative as FIVE TIMES IN A ROW I landed on that fucking space. The spinner loves to 'round down' your spin. If it stops on the boarder, MORE to the larger number, it will always just go with the smaller number.
For each of my times hitting the last fucking "out" space...The spinner said "woooo I'm going fa-IS THAT THE NUMBER TO GET YOU OUT?! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERK nailed it!" @,@ I hate this fucking event lol

Best things I've gotten so far were plat hammers, rusty hammers, tons of training seals, gold/silver orbs that gave me decent stuff that I can't remember, and odd kitty gloves (M)
Trying for that perm combo card, though. >>

Well did 3 runs of cooking dungeon and ended up with over 120 marbles. What I did was plow through with brute force melee. Worked like a charm. I got a bunch of training seals, combo card extension, perma combo card but as of yet, no odd kitty outfit and that's the one prize I really want. Can't find any for sale either :/
Brute melee, huh? Just normal attacks using the giant knife or...?
I have enough CP gear to get saga 4 trash up to "normal." Would that be better for me (unglitched since it refuses to. Mostly easy enough except fuck poets. Why does dischord hit harder than any mob there's smash?) or should I try for cooking? I have about 800 str.

How I usually start is I'll throw down an opening fireball once I see Gleways do his initial wacking. That makes the silverware spawn and then I kill that, equip the knife and go to town final hitting, normal attacking, smashing, and wming until the clocks hits 0. If you do the last 2 recipes you have 20 ~ 25 minutes worth of hunting you can do.

Makes a lot more sense now. You really do need golds in order to avoid those outs if you have any intention of getting to the end. More if you want gold boxes when you land on the box squares.
I was/am hoping for one of the perma combo card things but I'm not holding my breath. They seem incredibly rare.

I must be getting lucky then as out of 20 ~ 25 board completions I've gotten 2. Which is a damn shame as I don't give a crap about the perma combo cards as I have 3 in total at this point and I already used one for my firebolt combo >.> I don't even know what to do with these blasted things as I don't feel like spending money on combo cards.
What I want is the odd kitty hat, and the odd kitty shoes. Got the gloves already and bought the outfit this morning for 2.5mil. Someone please sell those two things to me, it's the only thing I really want at this point. Once I get those two things I can finally stop doing this event as it's starting to get tediously boring at this point.

This is faster for me than cooking dungeon, since I am not melee heavy.

So I'm getting about 200 for a 90-minute glitch saga 4 with CP gear enough to put mobs at normal/awful.
Is that a decent speed? What kind of speed are you cooking dungeon runners getting and how close to that could I get with rN hydra and only 1 pegasus (so I'd probably have to melee with my ~800 str)

Use tendering potions too, you get them from the boxes anyway, and I seem to get more drops when I'm using one. I probably get 300+ using r1 hydra, IS, and 3 AOE pets. I also use meteor storm here and there.

Problem is I lack the r1 hydra part. Without r1 hydra, your rate is essentially cut in half as you have no choice but to wack them with a cooking knife and at that point you may as well melee them to death. Perhaps I should take this as a sign to rank r1 hydra. It's always the cheap alchemy tactics that I don't have. r1 raincasting? don't have. r1 hydra? don't have. Lullaby? I have that at least >.>

the math on that is truly horrible too, because if you assume each roll averages out to 3.5 moves, 50/3.5 is a minimum of 15 rolls, which means nearly 3 outs per board, statistically.

The next best thing is to have rank 1 Ice spear and be in party with finish to any. Just charge up an IS, and let it go. Once you get your cooking knife later (as the npc will beat the hell out of them at first without any delay in his attacks if you IS first.), then you can do the beating yourself and just weaken everything to die on explosion regardless. A buddy of mine got around 40-50+ in a single go.

I had to start supplementing my hydra with mirage, and it is working pretty well.
