To get in, the wiki says "you must have completed at least one of Captain Padan's Shadow Missions." Does that mean any Tara Shadow mission or Rath Castle SMs or what? >_<

Any Rath Castle mission will get you in. The SM at the top of the board at Basic level is all that you need to get the Shadow Expeditionary Force title. Or if you have completed G1, G3, G8 or G9, then you also have access to the castle. Or none of the above, and just warp to your guild's Guild Hall for free entrance.
