Unused Titles

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. So some of you may have noticed that while we have a listing for 100 normal titles, we have less than 100 available. I won't be covering any of the >100 titles here since it's mostly event titles.

Anyways the unused titles fall into two categories.
A - "none" for a name and description. Unused, unplanned. Boring.
B - A hidden title. A title that exists but you cannot get in-game. The interesting ones.

So here's the "missing" titles, in order.

1-7: "none".

12: "the Explorer". Unimplemented, and given the ease of Alby Normal, not really something deserving of a title.

13: "the Child Explorer". Unimplemented because you only do the tutorial once I assume?

27: "none".

29-31: "the Master of Fire/Ice/Lightning". Planned before the advanced magics existed.

41-42: "none".

47-51: "none".

56: "none".

61: "none".

62: "ì¦ê±°ìš´ ì„¤ë‚ ". Some new years thing before holiday titles became >100 ones.

63-64: "none".

66-67: "the Wolf/Bear Hunter". Intended to stop them from aggroing you? That'd be a neat effect.

91-92: "none".

97-100: "none".

The code for the wolf/bear titles exists in the game, actually.

Wolf stops only wolves from aggroing, bear stops ANY mob. Amazingly OP, for, say, Baol.

Either way, the numbered title system is so bloody stupid. My OCD kicks in hard when I see all the numbered titles i can't get. What even is the fucking point of having all those number titles if you aren't going to use them?! *tears hair out thinking about how beyond stupid this title system is*

Did nobody at devcat stop and think, "maybe we should get rid of all that useless data space and make all titles * based titles"

I liked the number title system. I just wish they'd not limit the number to be a hundred only, made them all possible to obtain, not include event/cash/etc titles be numbered, etc. As a completion/collector, I'd like to see more.

I'd also like the ability to equip one title stat-wise and a completely different title for display.

That would automatically equal to ezpz Peaca Abyss solo. Good thing that title didn't get released.

As for the Child Explorer title, I believe that the tutorial dungeon would refer to the beginner dungeon that was supposed to be in the Forest of Souls.

Everything back then was just one bolt per element, though. Thunder and Fireball didn't come out until later, Ice Spear came out in G4 of course, hence the exploration journal. There was also no Magic Shields until G7, no elemental masteries and "adv" magic skills until G13, the lack of skills was probably why they didn't bother.

I won't be surprised if DevCat decided to make a second version of title gachapon and you have a chance to get that title as a 2nd title, and people will try to rush and buy it for 50m, to be honest...

If you want to get amazing... Titles not only can give you custom stats and animation....

... but allow access to a whole skill, even hidden skills, or completely new ones.

This includes combat, life, etc. skills but almost actions.

Maybe a title will come with a custom skill or a rare skill.

Oh goodie they should make a "the Nerfed" title that restricts players of the skills that've gotten so much complaint, so they can play with the nerfed versions.
