  The demise of HitchBOT is unfortunately just one more demonstration of this is why we can't have nice things, but ultimately it was just a researcher's contraption.
  
  Though it saddens me that its journey across America would end so soon, its plenty possible to build another and repeat the experiment. Just at this point I'm not expecting any better a result.
