The celtic druid staff can give an immense amount of magic attack if the int artisan is chosen, however with int capped at 1500, its very easy to get 1500 int with just catering. Most likely if catering is used, most or all of this staffs int from the artisan would be wasted.
With the gacha staff i have, upgrading with magic attack upgrades, then 30% mana reduction for the last would give 28 magic attack and 30% mana reduction.
If i do the int artisan however, that would be a whopping 51 magic attack, translating into 119 magic attack total for the staff when special upgraded to s5 (or 135 if s6 is attained).
While this int is not wasted as long as catering is left alone, catering is so easy to use and effective, which upgrade path is more worth getting?

I"d say Mana reduct, since there is a chance a new better staff may come out you get to save some cash by not buying those artisan removal kits, also that 30% reduct when stacked right lets you never use the potion key again :>
And if a new better staff doesn't come out, you got an endgame staff since now more than ever you would eventually cap int.

If you're the right age and high level (or, in magic active talent which makes it even easier) , you end up with 1450+ INT once you are capped with INT skills and this is before staff enchants (the new enchants give a lot of INT/magic attack). That means artisan is pretty much a bad idea if you are thinking of late game, as you will get more damage via the raw magic attack as well as the MP reduction.
If you play at like age 10 and do not gain INT for levels, then artisan can be a good thing but whenever you use hot choco cater the artisan will become pointless once again.
It's a choice that depends on the age/talent you play as, whether you regularly user catering, and how invested into magic you plan to be.
If you're more of a casual/secondary magic user or plan to resell the staff at some point, artisan is a viable option.
Also, the difference between the upgrades is just 30 magic attack (150 int) vs 7 magic attack and 30% reduction. 23 Magic Attack lost on worst case scenario isn't really the end of the world when you're gaining so much MP efficiency.

I'd say it entirely depends at what level int your on. But in my case, even if I had like 500 int and nowhere near the cap, I would still go the endgame even though its a very long term investment. On the other hand, if you can get a second one, then I would consider getting the short term version. It all depends on you to be honest. We can sway your attention but ultimately you need to decide what you want for yourself.

Keep in mind how easy it is to cater over 200 extra int towards cap. You'll get there, and when you do you'll be glad to have the 30% reduction and raw matk.

Yeah thats what i figured. I had come to that conclusion last druid staff i made, but i blew it up with s6. This staff was a r2 gacha one tho. Used one cred on it and it got r2>r1 and got lvl 18 casting speed reforge and 3 lines, was pretty surprised at that lol. Just wanted to make sure that most people go this rout. I have around 1280 int or so when i level up a bit with my totems and gear. Catering gives like 190 int or something with r1 tasting so that already puts me at almost 1500, and it wouldn't be too many skills away from getting 1500 with catering.
It just sucks tbh, if stats were uncapped to 2000 i definately would go int artisan, especially since i have thousands of mp300's, and now with inspiration being so useful.
