I'll probably be gone for a while. I'm tired running around by myself. I've got absolutely no gold, no friends, nothing. I don't enjoy wasting my time because I'm not very good at fighting and I die 10 times before I get anything accomplished. I don't really know what to do because I'm such a low level (~162) and I can't solo anything without dying atleast twice (except for like, Alby/Ciar beginner) because of how terrible I am at tactics. I can't go in a party because there's no parties anywhere or everyone that does SMs is doing stuff too high of a level for me and I've got no friends to help me.
I don't like complaining, but I don't like wasting time, soooooooooooooo.
Yeah.

STOP RIGHT THERE! Server and IGN, please?
I'm pretty sure if you ask around here, people will help you. And it's alright, don't worry. There are times when games get hectic or annoying. Maybe all you need is a break, maybe not.
And low level? When I was at 162, I felt like I dominated Mabinogi. Sure, this was during G3 maybe, but that's because I learned a bunch of useful combos and whatnot. Magic-counter, for example, was my friend for a veeeeeeeeery long time. Do you use it?
You can do it. You obviously made it to 162 someway or another. Don't give up now.
If you run Ciar, try to avoid multi-aggro from those Archers and Poison Goblins. Also, do you have a pet? My first pet (a Shire) helped me so much through so many dungeons. If you don't have one, I recommend you buy 1 or 2 perhaps.
Just ask around here. I bet people will gladly run missions with you too.

.... Please don't say that to a noob like me who didn't finish G2 until he was level 230+...
Also, My G3, G8, and G11 is left unfinished because i don't feel confident enough to finish it.... At level 1500+.
You think you're a noob? Take a look around at players who are ACTUAL noobs. the term itself is very misused nowadays, you know.
As Phunkie said, ask around on Nation. For one, if you're on Tarlach, I would be more than willing to help you.

If you play on Tarlach, I'll help you out with whatever.
Conversations with me usually go something like this.
"Hey Rain. Come help me."
"But....This is me time." :cryno:
"Too bad. I need help."
"Fine."

I'm in Mari and my IGN is Impulse.
The only thing is that I'm tired of soloing. I've asked around, but most people just sit in Dunbarton and talk all day. I practically did G1 and G2 entirely on my own, minus the rides and RP dungeon help a friend gave me. I sat and did refine almost entirely by myself, with nobody to talk to minus a few randoms that I would talk to every so often. I finished refine in a matter of 5 or 6 days, and I'm honestly glad I finished it so quickly. There's only one person that's every really helped me at all and that's usually just with getting skills such as FH or Charge. It just gets lonely and demotivating, y'nkow?
I do use magic-counter, but I try not to because I like to focus on melee and magic-counter seems a poor tactic for a meleer. I've also got 5 pets, who are pretty low leveled and die quite frequently. I've got one thoroughbread, one shire, one griffin, and two white jindos that I really only use for inventory space.
Another thing is that I just don't know what to do. I feel like I should finish G9 and G10, but then I also feel like I need to rank my windmill (currently r5) or other skills.
It's all just a little hectic. :3

:D
I'm on Mari! Add Phunkie.
And it doesn't matter if your pets are low-leveled. They're good for swipes and last-minute saves. Also, what weapons do you use? Maybe you'd die less if you used Slow weapons, which have more stun time. Stuff like Gladii and Broadswords, maybe?
You said you finished Refine and you got R5 WM as well. Sounds like you're doing pretty good so far.
Be my new best friend! :thumb:

Then what exactly contributes to you dying so much? Lag? Multi-aggro?
And thanks. I'm not in-game atm, but I'll accept when I get on later.

It's usually just due to poor tactics on my part. I don't really understand the monster UI and I didn't rank Sharp Mind so I don't exactly know what the enemy is doing, so I end up getting hit. I just don't know what tactics are essential for me to learn. I only know magic-counter and N+1. Another thing is archers. It gets hectic when I get multi-aggro'd by a melee monster and an archer and it just gets confusing for me and I end up dying. It happens almost every dungeon I do. :/

Send a pet after the archer and deal with the melee'er in situations like those.
And is your Sharp Mind at least Rank F? That'll allow you to see the skill bubble, even if it fails.
One thing you learn quickly is how many "blinks" loading a skill takes... I forget how many blinks each of the basic skills take, but Smash is always the longest to load. If an enemy is running up to you with a skill loaded, that's always Smash.
If they're walking around with a skill loaded, it's Defense. Standing still and skill loaded can be either Counter or Windmill (or even Defense again).
You just learn these things as you go along.
Anyone know how many times each skill blinks/flashes while being loaded?

If the enemy suddenly stops and stands still, without any skill flashes, you should assume its WM and either load Defense and walk near it to set the WM off (not always safe) or just load a bolt, launch, then put up Counter.
Smash: 2 seconds to load, so just practice mentally timing the flash loading times.
Counter: 1.5 seconds
Defense: 1.5 seconds
