A Delaware judge on Friday ordered Molly Shattuck, an ex-Baltimore Ravens cheerleader, to serve every other weekend in jail for the next two years.

Shattuck was facing up to 15 years in prison after she pled guilty to one count of fourth degree rape back in June. Just over a year prior, Shattuck began a physical relationship with a 15-year old boy (reportedly a classmate of her son) she met over Instagram.

Another case of an adult woman getting away with a slap on the wrist for molesting a teen, even though if it was a man there would be mobs with torches and pitchforks demanding his execution, posting on facebook that they hope he gets raped in prison, etc.

Also, what the fuck. Since when is jail a weekend trip where you can continue your regular life Monday through Friday then just drive by the jail on Saturday to get a break from the kids for the weekend before heading back home?

Eeh, that's a difficult topic.

While the issue of double standard is certainly here, way too many people live under the impression that kids are all pure and innocent until they are 18/21/married.

Oh, no. I'm not under that impression. I'm just saying, if they are going to make a rule they should stick to it. I'm mainly talking about the whole double standard of "A man touched a little girl?! That sick pedophile freak! I hope he gets raped in prison and dies! If he isn't dead he should never be let out of prison as long as he lives!" Vs. "A woman touched a little boy? Wow, lucky kid. She can touch me any day! Why the hell should she go to jail just for that?"

Plus the whole only having to go to jail on every other weekend and getting to continue her normal life the rest of the time thing, that's pretty messed up no matter how you look at it.
