Bash mechanics

I was using a 2h for a bit when training bash just because it was a fomor exec I had for some reason that I didn't care about the dur on, but I realized that bash seemed to be doing more damage with a 2h than with a 1h when I had near identical max on both.

However, I can't find a source on anything saying that bash gets a bonus from 2h damage, does anyone know for certain if it does or does not get a bonus from 2h weapons?

These might seem like silly questions but were either of the weapons R special upgraded? Are you counting just crits or overall damage? Was the 2h you were using a piercing enabled weapon?
