General Beginner

Hello fellow Mabinogians,

I am a "General beginner" who have played Mabinogi in the past but have no reached over a cumulative level of 200. I have basic knowledge about Mabinogi but not a full understanding of all the mechanics and offerings of the game. I am a college student and I have a reasonable amount of time to pick up Mabinogi once in a while. I enjoy playing Mabinogi and am attached to the style of play however I never play consecutively and have prolonged periods of "disconnect." I believe that I will stick to Mabinogi now but not spend too many hours on it constantly.

My question is where exactly do I begin my journey? What race should I select? What abilities should I follow? My Mabinogi dream is acquiring Ice Spear and Arrow Revolver but I have never reached that goal. What are some advice that you Mabinogians can give me as a beginner in Mabinogi?

P.S. I am currently downloading Mabinogi and attempting to replace KR Mabinogi's HShield onto NA Mabinogi to make NA Mabinogi Windows 10 compatible.

Finding people to run missions and stuff with will be nice, since Ice Spear pages drop from Ghost of Partholon books now. The Exploration Journal pages can be purchased from the Seal Merchant with Adventurer Seals, which you get from doing daily quests and junk.
