(Sorry I missed the post above ; w; so you can ignore a few things. I hope some info helps you then OR atleast some other passer by mage who is new to it)
As of right now, the best title for magic all around is Meteor Strike Master(50 magic attack)+ALO Asuna (40 Magic attack) but you can substitute that for Tarlach which is 32 Magic attack.
(However if you are maining firebolt for a mission, dungeon or just in general you main firebolt, if you also are bard, or party with a bard, a max damage title is key here due to the fact the firebolt can scale of max damage also and it has a damage coefficient seeing as firebolt's damage multiplied and increased the number of charges it has upon casting it. I REALLY hope I explained that right or simply, I am new to explaining magic is dept)
I would recommened finishing off your magic tab to obtain the rest of the int for higher magic attack. Keep in mind some of the skills (See: Meteor Strike) have had a change. Meteor strike use to have a 30 minute cool down (I remember mastering it with 30 minute cool down and then crying if you missed the dragon q-q) which has now been reduced down to 15 minutes. Still a crappy cool down, but hey, it's an improvement.

Do the sheilds also and the cleric skills, they may give little to no INT but that doesn't change the fact they give MP, a high end game mage NEEDS their mana pool to be good and needs it for upkeep.
Inspiration is a very good skill to rank, the recovery of MP and the MP it gives. Below is a list of skills that give MP that I recommend doing also:

You have noticed by now that some skills that give Int and MP are not even based to a mage talent. That is because other skill sets give int too. It's important to do these skills first. Some talents are hybrid talents that require a build in both to be sucessful (see: gunner) Life skills also give Int and some are VERY easy to rank. Check the link I provided up there! (Worry not for Magic Craft/Engeneering/Blacksmithing for now, those are the BIG life skills, but the others are sure nessecary to rank)
Do Enchant last. YES that's right I do recommened doing enchant. Fear not, it's not as scary as it was. That should be one thing to work for for a guide. Me and my boyfriend and guildmates all got enchant done in the course of 1 day, one day a guide should be made, but really, there is a way to do enchant in one day (maybe adding on another day, but thats to be explained in a guild)
Equipment to give a run down: Hebona robe set (Preferably Firebolt enchanement, I went both for my set, but firebolt > ice bolt)
Savage fire wand, step 6 BLUE (it isn't until you hit end game mage with capped Int and MP and capped mage tab. thats the point were RED UPGRADED = BLUE UPGRADED or Red will surpass blue) Make sure it's got high Dura and 4 but PREFERABLY 5 base magic attack. For a chance at a high rolled one Look for your local r1 magic crafter to make you one (or if you are on Mari, we have 3 magic craft masters)
Savage Ice wand, Step 6 blue+Rosemaries. Good for high end blazes who still do Ice spear into blaze (please tell me I'm not the only end game mage that does this still ;w; Anyway. moving on)
Tribolt wand - Can be used good but I prefer Savage fire wand.
Karis Set for Mana Reduction
Staffs are nice too. I will SAY if you are an ingame mage. DON'T art upgrade it. (Were I am right now, I hit the int cap without the help of art upgrades, that is why I choose not to art upgrade my sin staff. ) It's wasted on end game mages. Beginner to low/medium teir mages, I would recommend it, but not for an end game mage.
I am only now starting to go into enchants, so I will let someone else cover that for you. Howevere you are going to want to go after Magic attack ones and Max Damage ones (for firebolt)
For reforges, look for the ones that go with your main skill set or the main magic that you use. (Also take casting speed and Vivace reforges into consideration)
Ego: Are you a main magic user? if so. Ego firewand, regular not phoenix, for a firewand does wonders. A high ego can surpass that of a step 6 savage firewand.
I think I covered some stuff, if I think of anything eles I shall update this but thats all I can think of for now. Hope this helps!
