I like Scout a lot.
Uncommon names are THE BEST. My husband and I went with Inara and everyone really likes it. Unfortunately when we tell it to people we have to spell it out because people hear "Adora," but when they understand what it is, we often get told how beautiful it is.
I hate common names, I don't want someone else in their classroom having their name. The hardest part is compromising with the baby daddy because he hates everything from boringly common, to uncommon, unisex, and straight out there. Every single name he hears he's like "HATE IT". He actually likes Scout though, I'm going to try to find an adult with that name and ask how they like it.

It was difficult for us to come to an agreement too. I started having second thoughts about the name at around 7 months pregnant, even. Name choosing can be difficult!
If you both really like Scout, I would go with that. You can always give your child a more traditional (though not necessarily common) middle name to fall back on if they find they don't like Scout as they get older.

Awww~ So adorable and beautiful! It'll fit no matter how she turns out, I'm sure. <3

- Make sure her full name is compatible with online forms. I would avoid special characters, skipping the middle name, or adding "the second, junior, etc".
- Make sure her initials don't spell something fucky.
- Avoid overtly long names but make sure her name isn't super common. You don't want ten kids looking at you when you call her name.
I really like the name Lily. Whatever you do don't include your relatives (sans spouse) in the discussion. There's a 100% chance that you'll get hit with a damned-if-you-do/don't dilemma.

My favorite girl name that starts with A is Audrey :°)
Edit: Didn't see the update! What a great name you've chosen!

Asshole is also a very nice A word, not exactly a name though.
